We ate here one evening when the wait at Starlight was 90 minutes. Got right in and enjoyed the singer and a wine margarita (which I normally hate, but was tasty). The food was good, not great and the service was friendly if uneven. Anywhere else, it's 3 stars, but in Terlingua where choices are few and you are tired... More

We came in after a hike to The Window and that last 30 minutes of uphill climb really carved up an appetite that our tiny meal in the cooler just wouldn't suffice. So we went back into town looking for something to eat where we can kick our feet back. This is certainly the place for that as there were... More

Went on a Monday evening: No wait, quick service and prompt delivery of our appetizers, salads and meals. While the food wasn't a 5-star meal, it's was good, quick and hot. The nachos were some of the best in our travels. Considering the limited choices in the area, I d recommend it !!

We were staying at the El Dorado Hotel and had dinner our 1st night at the High Sierra. Good beer selection. Homemade salsa and guacamole were both good. Enchiladas were plump and delicious. Restaurant was busy but not too crowded. Very laid back atmosphere. If you are in the Big Bend area, give High Sierra a try.

My family and I went for dinner there yesterday and sat on the rooftop. Once it is dark you cannot even see your food. The food was really good. I had the pulled pork tostada's that were delicious. However I ordered okra instead of my rice and beans and they forgot until later. Service was very slow but friendly enough.... More

The table cloth was dirty, really dirty. We were there not long after dinner service started. Half of us had food that was fine, nothing special, but warm, well-seasoned, and appropriately cooked. The other half had flavorless, poorly seasoned, unsalted meat. I would not return.

The food was good but the service was very, very slow. It was nice sitting on the upstairs balcony at sunset but would have been much better if our drinks had arrived to accompany the view.

We stopped in for dinner. The food was good, the wait staff friendly, the beer cold. Nothing else needed.

The place has rustic charm in a quirky way, but the food is just not that interesting, tasty, or abundant. It seemed to take a long time to be get food. The beer was welcome on a the warm afternoon we were there. Not crowded when we arrived around 5:00 PM on spring break. The menu is very basic with... More
