Really is one of my favorites, they own several restaurants in the SPI area and all are very good. I love the fish and especially the stuffed flounder and shrimp dishes. Hard to go wrong here.

We visited on 10/14/15 on our yearly SPI trip from el paso. Everytime we come we have to eat at dirty als. We were in on a wednesday around 230pm. We were the only customers eating but we still had a great time. Our 1yr old daughter loved the decorations and the shrimp is wonderful. Well stop in again next... More

We had such a great time @ Dirty Al's. However, again the pricing is an issue. SPI establishments really need to get together and resolve this ongoing price-gaudging. Just because families come to SPI doesn't mean that you will see them again. Repeat business is known and important factor in any resort community.

This place is over price and waitress was rude. Low light at first then the turn up the lights. I wouldn't eat here again. And if there are more than four people in your group- they will add tip to Bill. The lady wasn't worth a $4 dollar tip per person - just saying

We were so happy to get back to the Island and be able to enjoy the fresh Gulf Shrimp. Dirty Al's is not fancy, it is very laid back, noisy, usually very busy, and has a fun atmosphere. Have not found any others to compare. The very best Shrimp in Texas!!!! The french fries are very good. Fish is very... More

This establishment is the same a as Daddy's, owned and operated with basically the same menu. The view of the bay is nice, but nothing else is overwhelming

Pricey for nothing special. Came with a wedding party. Staff was friendly quick. I had alfredo with blackened shrimp. It was kinda funky. Almost like the sauce was days old. Took two bites and left the rest. Ate the shrimp off the top.

Nothing fancy here, just great food and service. Had the New Orleans style shrimp and they were excellent. Then tried the fried shrimp and it was also excellent. Next time I'll get a botana and try the fried oysters.

About Us
Dirty Al’s has been in operation since 1986 and has always provided the freshest seafood to thousands of visitors from all over the world.
As a family owned and operated business, we have always taken great pride in taking care of each customer and providing them with a unique experience that they can only get from eating at Dirty Al’s. Dirty Al promises every customer that they will only be served the absolute freshest seafood caught in the wild off the Gulf of Mexico.
A Father and his Sons Make a Great Team!
Alfonso Salazar, better known as “Dirty Al” originally started shrimping as a young man with his father and 6 brothers. In 2003, he and his youngest son, Cameron, who graduated from Culinary School, transformed his bait stand into a restaurant where together they have been known for having “The World’s Best Fried Shrimp”! In 2005, his other two sons returned home to help grow the business. To this day, they now own 6 restaurants on beautiful South Padre Island and continue to bring only the “best” Gulf Seafood to each customer’s table.
