Went to this place after the sunset cruise. Wasn't very hungry. But I ordered the shrimp, I couldn't stop at one shrimp! Of course I cleaned my plate! Waitress was very busy, but she made sure we had everything we needed.

Don't waste your money or time on going to this place!! It is by far the worst seafood place I have ever been to... We couldn't even finish what we got as it was that gross!

By far the freshest seafood place. Very casual dining. Local hangout place. Mostly fried food but it's very good. No full bar and it can get very busy. Very reasonably priced. I go all the time and it does not disappoint

The name certainly fits... This place was dirty. Everything is served on plastic or paper- even my wine which I would not recommend ordering white wine it was horrible. The oysters were very small. We went because everyone raved about the shrimp and it was good and fresh! Hey, there was a line out the door so something must be... More

If you like fried seafood and the best French fries anywhere, this is the place to go! Casual is an understatement. One cannot be easily offended here! The fried crab fingers are my go-to. Go early or late to avoid waiting lines!

Restaurant was decent size inside. Accommodated our party of 12. Lots and lots of fried food. I had the blackened fish -- was good -- would order again. Hubby had the fish tacos - thought they were good. Decent food - decent price. Would go there again.

Don't let the name fool you. Dirty Al's was amazing. We had a beautiful view, great service, and the prices were reasonable. My son didn't want to go at first because of the name, but I am so glad we didn't judge a book by its cover. The place doesn't look like much from the outside but wait till you... More

If you don't know what that means, it is Spanish for family feast. If you have a family to feed , then this is the best deal on the island. For 40.00 dollars you get a large platter filled with fish, chicken, and shrimp. We usually get it half fried and half backend. Our family of 5 won't finish the whole... More

Dirty Al's is not the place you drive by and have to go into. We asked some locals where they recommended and this place was chosen by all people present. We went on an evening and were blown away by the food. It is a must for seafood lovers.

About Us
Dirty Al’s has been in operation since 1986 and has always provided the freshest seafood to thousands of visitors from all over the world.
As a family owned and operated business, we have always taken great pride in taking care of each customer and providing them with a unique experience that they can only get from eating at Dirty Al’s. Dirty Al promises every customer that they will only be served the absolute freshest seafood caught in the wild off the Gulf of Mexico.
A Father and his Sons Make a Great Team!
Alfonso Salazar, better known as “Dirty Al” originally started shrimping as a young man with his father and 6 brothers. In 2003, he and his youngest son, Cameron, who graduated from Culinary School, transformed his bait stand into a restaurant where together they have been known for having “The World’s Best Fried Shrimp”! In 2005, his other two sons returned home to help grow the business. To this day, they now own 6 restaurants on beautiful South Padre Island and continue to bring only the “best” Gulf Seafood to each customer’s table.
