Great service, food not so good. I've tried this place a couple of times (because I've been invited to birthday celebrations) but I just can't seem to find anything on the menu that's worth going back because I actually want to and not because of a birthday. Definitely over priced. You want some real seafood with some actual flavor to... More

Joe's Crab Shack was just that good. It is fun and casual, the service friendly and helpful and the food plentiful and delicious. We'll return whenever we travel to Austin in the future.

I sincerely hope our visit isn't the normal experience. It was horrific from start to finish. Our order was taken, but the appetizer never came. No apologies. The food came out, but no silverware was on the table. The server didn't return for a long time. When she did, I asked for silverware; that is apparently a huge request. It... More

As the title states, the service was exceptional. The food was good, just over cooked. I would return.

Stopped in for a weekday lunch and it did not disappoint! Our server Tammy was attentive and helpful. Appetizer sampler with "Great balls of fire' and crab dip was a hit. Coconut shrimp was terrific as always. Joe's is not known for being inexpensive but lunch prices are reasonable. Location is on IH 35 so be prepared if you are... More

My last visit to a joe's was not a real pleasant experience. This visit renewed my faith in the franchise. Waitress and greeters were friendly, knowledgable and on point with their service without being intrusive. The lobster bisque was excellent, the cajun crab pot was good but actually a little closer to a curry flavor--good spice but not really cajun... More

Obviously a chain resturant bringing a touch of seafood to the Texas Hill Country. Both food and service was more than adequate and satisfied our seafood urges. Crab cakes not in the "Baltimore" class, but still, very tasty. Our server, Chy, was spot on.

Nice decorated place with plenty of seafood options. However I had to wait long before someone noticed me waiting for an order - maybe because it was kinda late around 9:30 PM. Had ordered Shark bite cocktail which was good. Along with fried Calamari which was ok - reason being some of the squids were so small that they were... More

Long wait to be seated. Long wait to get served. Food was just so-so. The bar didn't offer some basic drinks and was overpriced. We won't return.

I was leery since the only time I visited a Joe's it wasn't any good. This place redeemed Joe's for me. Our waitress was awesome and so was the food. It was right next to our hotel so we could walk over.

Thank Andrea J
