We traveled there with a group of 10 for a casual pre-holiday get-to-gather...staff was very nice and accommodating...had marked a long table for our use...gave us a 10% "first timers" discount. I had the brisket, ribs, and shared some sausage with my wife. The sausage was very good, not fatty...the ribs were meaty and moist...the brisket was also good...just not... More

Amazing job by the Pok-e-Joe's catering team for catering a successful holiday lunch at my job. The turkey was excellent and the service fantastic. Hats off to the team at Pok-E-Joe's!

Others seem to like Rudy's or Smokey Mos which is fine, but I like the sausage at Pok-e-jos. Much better. It has lots of flavor and not greasy.

Catered our daughters wedding yesterday. The food and service was absolutely perfect. We have had so many great compliments from our guests. Very professional and the best BBQ we ever tasted. Thank you all so much for making our day and night so easy on us. Would definitely recommend

I had mixed feelings. I should've thought "Chain Barbecue in Central Texas?" I knew better. Before I get carried away with the negatives, the service was friendly, my chicken was really good, there was a good choice of sides, it was clean and well lit. OK, only 3 out of 5? Why? The brisket. It was all about the brisket.... More

I had the small portion dinner which is 4 oz of your choice meat and 2 half sides. I had the brisket and my spouse had turkey. The meat was tasty and lean. They have a lots of sides to choose from and you may choose cobbler for one of your sides. We love the twice baked potato casserole, green... More

This was a monthly lunch location when I lived there and still make a point to stop when I am in town. The sliced brisket and Elgin sausage are always good, the 'nanna pudding is awesome, and the baked potatoes are huge. Prices are good and portions filling.

This is my first time in Texas, and people have told me that Pok-e-Jo's and Salt Lick are the best Texas BBQ spots. So I tried them both. 10% discount to first time visitors at this place! If it's your first visit, TELL THEM, and you get the discount. Very nice. The atmosphere here is a bit depressing. On the... More

I got into town kind of late, most places were packed out the door. Then I found Pok-e-joes, and I am soooo glad I did. Walked in and straight to the food line(cafeteria style). Nothing was over cooked or seemed like it had been sitting there all day. It was fresh and plentiful. I was more than full when I... More
