Spent a week on South Padre Island and discovered Joe's Oyster Bar in Port Isabel across the bridge on the mainland. So impressed with the shrimp and flounder that we ate here 4 times. Initially got the fried shrimp/flounder, but really loved the grilled versions. Great service. Meal came quickly. Not a fancy place, but the food was great. Also... More

The best fried shrimp I've ever tasted. I'll definitely be back! The staff was always friendly and also checking up on us.

From start to finish, this place exceeded our expectations. Our server Danny, was delightful. He waited on us quickly and was attentive to us throughout our stay. And then there was the food. We are lovers of oysters on the half shell and these did not disappoint. And the fried shrimp special was particularly good. The breading is very light,... More

Good food, low prices. My grilled fish/shrimp combo was very good. The fried fish dinner was also very good, with large portions.

A year ago I tried Joe's Oyster Bar based on TripAdvisor ratings. Simply it was the best hole-in-the-wall seafood restaurant I had ever visited. Since I am South Padre again I had to return (Last time I ate a non-traditional Thanksgiving meal with Joe's). The place has not changed. The prices are good and the food is outstanding. Understand this... More

Joe's is by far my favorite restaurant in town. Delicious fried food and grill. I never been to a places with better fried oyster or better grilled fish. I come here atleast once a month.

Thank Cris B
