The service was a little slow , the menu had a good variety....the cost of the meal was reasonable....the meal was served hot and it was tasty....it was a reasonable to take a family...

We had this on our list of places to try in Port A based on reviews, found it to be fairly average on both food quality and service. The kids meal prices were excessive at $9.

We have never been to Port Aransas before and our first night we really had no idea where to dine; so happy we found Castaways! Friendly ambiance, unpretentious. Had a couple of kids in tow. Responsive, efficient waiter Steve(follow his recommendations, superb), excellent, fresh fish. Would come again!

We eat at Castaways every year we visit, the seafood is great and the hamburgers are awesome. It is a must visit if you go to the island.

I live in port aransas and feel lucky to live close to so many good places to eat. Castaways is no exception. I was warmly greeted even though I know the staff didn't really know i lived here. I ordered the fried white fish. It was good and well priced. Glad we have this establishment as a choice in port... More

Visiting Port A and was hoping to find a place with good, fresh sea food. We found it! We were here after the lunch crowd, so not crowded at all. Our waiter, Able, was great! My husband ordered the Ultimate Combo, which included a soft shell crab, along with oysters, shrimp, and local fish. I got the Shrimp Lovers platter... More

Great place, food and drinks. The store is really neat, we found many unique souvenirs and a huge selection of rare shells.

After years of the same old decor, they are up grading and remodeling. The food was good and so was the service.

The food is good, perhaps a bit spicy as my crab legs came out with a red spicy mixture sprinkled on top. I just prefer plain snow crab legs. My husbad had the Mahi Mahi and it was especially good. The place is dark and just plain jane decor. The food was pricy its location and ambiance.

We stopped at another place but was too touristy and promised a long wait so went down a few blocks and decided to try the Castaways. Food was good and pleasant wait staff. They really make you feel like coming back. Prices are comparable to most in the area so I would say average of about $20 a person for... More
