Stopped through on our way to our kids basketball game. My wife and I both had sirloin steaks with baked potatoes. We really like the food and atmosphere. It's worth stopping here if you're traveling. It's good home style cooking.

My wife and I travel down through the panhandle several times a year and usually stop and eat at the fast food chains visible from the interstate. This time we were spending the night and decided to find a place a little more upscale. We found The Cotton Patch in a strip mall on the main road into town and... More

We are travelling through America and it was nice to have some real food at dinner. Portions are generous and the food tastes real! Service cannot be faulted. Certainly worth stopping at

Good chicken fried steak, but it is kind of salty. I may have picked up a stomach virus from the salad. My favorite place in Plainview is West Texas wood fired grill nearby.

Today I had the fried catfish. Very good. Freshly cooked, hot and crispy. Sides of squash casserole and green beans also very tasty. Hush puppies have a hint of jalapeño. I recommend this restaurant.

Had the pleasure of eating here during a weekday stay in the area. This was one of only a few places that was actually open after 8pm on a weekday evening. Despite the fact that this is a chain restaurant I have eaten at in other towns before, I feel that the service I received at this particular Cotton Patch... More

Not much different from Chili's in terms of menu but they don't serve alcohol. I had salad and salmon with vegetables. It was good enough. Service was standard.

When eating out in Plainview, this is the go-to place for good steaks - especially the chicken fried steak. Ask for the cream gravy on the side so you can enjoy the crusty steak without the crust getting soggy. The rolls are to die for.
