So happy to see one of my favorite BBQ places in New Braunfels - really good BBQ and don't miss all the side dishes. Service as always is excellent. Good place to eat...

We drove an hour and half to get there from our lodging place. It was well worth it. Best bbq meat I have ever had. Very tender and juicy. They were very nice in accommodating our non pork dietary need and used clean knives and forks, This was really appreciated.

This is the absolute best BBQ for 50 square miles! Some folks say it is too expensive, but when one takes into account all the beverages, beans, bread, onions, pickles, and FANTASTIC pinto beans it is a good deal. We had beef ribs and turkey. They were tender, tasty, and when the vinegar based BBQ sauce is added one can... More

When you go in the door, be prepared to select the meats you want to eat, ie, brisket, sausage, beef and pork ribs, and more. The restaurant is organized buffet style. When you go through the line, you can select from potato salad, coleslaw, corn on the cob and save room for mac and cheese with bacon and jalapenos. You... More

Cooper's was our first taste of Texas BBQ. Everyone has their idea of the ideal BBQ and we certainly enjoyed Cooper's. They seem to stay busy all the time, but there's plenty of room, so check it out. Food was excellent, with great selection. Very family-oriented place and very casual.

We ate on a weekday evening and there were only a few people in the restaurant. You select your meats from a "holding area" right after you enter. Much of the meat looked like it might have been waiting quite some time. We shared brisket, beef ribs, and sausage. The brisket had a crunchy, salty crust and was a little... More

My husband had discovered this place about 2 years ago and always said that he wanted to go again. The meat was melt in your mouth good and the beer was cold! People were very nice and appreciative of good comments. We bought the seasoning to bring home and are glad we did. It is very good!

Considering the cafeteria-style organization of this place, the hit on your wallet may at first seem a bit jarring. This is not uncommon, though, among good Hill Country barbecue joints. Everything is good, but this place is among the area's best for ribs, especially the beef ribs which are heavenly. If you are unaccustomed to your forehead forming beads of... More

This is our go to place for BBQ. Service is cafeteria style and they slice and wrap your meat choices for your trays which are topped with waxed paper place mats. Although they offer all the usual items (our grown daughter loved the pork chop), we always order the by-the-pound ultra moist and tender brisket. If I'm really hungry, I... More

The brisket was EXCELLENT!!! The barbeque sauce was also good, as were the sausage, potato salad, beans, and macaroni and cheese. The delicious peach cobbler is also a must. We have frequented Cooper's numerous times and it is one of our VERY FAVORITE barbeque places in Texas. In fact, we have never found one that we could rate above it.... More
