Stepped in to a feeling of an old fashioned diner. Waitress was super friendly and service was great. I had read ahead about their steaks and that is what I chose. I was not disappointed. I love the choices of sides....I had broccoli cheese soup which was good and fried okra which was excellent. I liked that it was not... More

They offer a buffet style line up for breakfast that includes eggs, bacon, sausage etc. you must order the pancakes (they are extra) but well worth it they were fluffy and huge we could have shared one order for both my husband and I

There were four of us for breakfast. Got seated quickly, the server took our drink orders as well as pancake and omelet orders. These items are cooked to order, so while we waited we went up to the steamer tables. There we found huge biscuits, potatoes cooked with peppers and onions - really fresh, not the frozen kind of potatoes,... More

My husband and I like to drive around and find wonderful places to eat! We had heard about The Jay Cafe, and even though we are in Conroe, we decided it was time for a Sunday drive to Needville! OMG! So glad we did! The food was EXCELLENT! And after eating the Coconut Cream Pie - I decided that if... More

The made from scratch food, the fantastic service and the unbelievable homemade pie! Hand pattied burgers, hand cut steaks all cooked on a mesquite wood grill. Finally a restaurant that knows how to make real homemade American food.

Came here for an early New Years Eve dinner. Food was good... really good! The bacon wrapped filet was amazing. Save room for one of their pies for dessert. We tried the Coconut Cream Pie, peach cobbler with vanilla ice cream, and 4 layer red velvet cake. Worth the drive!

Unassuming cafe on the outskirts of Needville, Tx. Went in on a busy Friday at lunch time. Immediately seated and service was excellent. Typical diner/cafe atmosphere where the food is the star not the ambience. Had the Little Tex (half order of chicken fried steak) with two sides. Perhaps the best CFS I've eaten in a long time. Not greasy,... More
