Sitting in a living room with a river stone fireplace is very comfortable. We came for lunch and felt quite comfortable in the rustic chairs. The food came out quickly and looked very good. I had the Sashimi box. The tempura was properly cooked and the raw fish was fresh. A good lunch for $12. We will be back.

If your in the mood for sushi it's not a bad choice, but it's not the best in town. I would go here again cause it's close to my house, but I would recommend going to Sango rather than here.

Delightful old house with plenty of room to celebrate a family birthday upstairs. The decor is part mid century Canadiana and part Japanese. The food delicious and the service excellent.

They gave us ( a group of eight people) a room to ourselves, played birthday music before bringing up a cake with candle. Food was hot, delicious, fast and plentiful. Pricing was good too, not out of the world.

It's unusual to enjoy sushi on a patio, which is the main driver of my "very good" rating. The patio is quiet, shaded and on a warn day like the one I was there, it was very pleasant. The service was prompt and friendly and the food was also quite tasty. Both my partner and I had the Chicken Teriyaki... More

Food is very good and so are the prices. The restaurant itself is an old heritage building and really makes this a must-do experience. Have a group and get a table in an old bedroom upstairs for a truly great experience (or eat outside on a warm summer day). Service also good.

We have enjoyed Akasaka for many years. It remains one of our favourites but they have some pretty good competition too.

A bit out of the way, in an old house in Pitt Meadows, the Akasaka Japanese Restaurant is a fine choice for lunch. Reasonably quiet, the room is good for conversation. Service is fast, friendly and unhurried. Of course, it's the food that matters, and the Akasasa does not disappoint. On a recent visit, our group of four each enjoyed... More
