We had some good enchiladas, decent chile relleno and excellent beer: Negra Modelo. The price was reasonable in an expensive town.

We wanted a "full breakfast" and our hotel recommended Mando's in Marfa, Texas. It was terrible. The scrambled eggs tasted were so chopped on the grill that it looked like gravel, the taste had a hint of fish - cooked on a dirty grill. The coffee was terrible - once again probably not a clean coffee maker and bad coffee... More

This place was recommended for Mexican food. I got fajitas, it was more peppers than meat. Not what I'm used to for sure! Partner got a cheeseburger, the cheese was on the bottom bun instead of on top of the burger...both were actually better as leftovers!

A bit different from our San Antonio Tex-Mex, but very good food and service. We had lunch and breakfast and enjoyed both. Large portions and cold beer!

We've eaten at two Mexican restaurants in Alpine and at Mando's. This place is easily the best. We had taquitos and chicken fried steak. Both were delicious. Beans and rice as well as the chips and salsa were also good. Interesting fact: The chicken fried steak was hand-breaded and cooked on a grill. Rare to find this and so delicious.... More

Thought it would be a good meal. Red cheese enchiladas were bland with sparse cheese. Hot sauce good, though not used to a Mexican restaurant charging for chips and salsa. The waitress okay but not very friendly. Did not give us our check, we had to go to the counter...she added it up and told us the total...not sure what... More

We were at a lost on where to eat lunch on a Monday in Marfa. Most places are closed. Sara at Marfa Radio suggested this place on the outskirts of town. It's a bit of a dive but clean, nonetheless. Customer Service was wonderful. Very attentive waitress who was also the cashier. She was taking care of a half full... More

This is a casual place, seat yourself, pay on the honor system. The staff was friendly and competent. The day we were there, it was super busy, (large law enforcement presence) so they ran out of the daily special. I opted for the enchilada place (Christmas style-red and green sauces). 3 enchiladas served with rice and beans and pico. They... More

Good Mexican food. Didn't try burgers but they also looked good. Definitely a place for locals. Everyone seemed to know each other. Families, couples, a nun, a border patrol officer, Anglos and Hispanics. Fried pickles were great. Not a lot of choice on the beverage front. The wine was either red or white and the only hard liquor was toquilla,nut... More

Mando's doesn't look like much from the outside, but very cool place to eat. Tables are set up where you might sit with others if you'd like. Food is excellent... we opted for mexican food, but the hamburger steaks, etc. looked delicious. Plenty of food, wait staff ladies are friendly and fun. Lots of border patrol agents as well as...
