Tuesdays are special at Hartz - you can get a dozen or more (depending who is serving you) fried gizzards for less than $3.00. If you ask for them "well-done", they really know what they are doing and do it right. The parking lot is a little sketchy but overall, good stuff!

This place is about as bare bones as it comes...but the food is pretty damn good!!! They don't have a HUGE selection, but what IS there,is very tasty...some of the best fried chicken I've had in a VERY long time!!!

the chicken buffet is all you can eat, very reasonable. Lots of veggie choices, chicken strips, chicken, livers. Chicken has heavy crust, and large pieces.

A great value and good food. The selection varies during the week. These people can cook! I wish they would not hide the ice cream machine though. Like the interior upgrades. You all are off to a pretty good start.

This is the only chicken buffet in the Clear Lake area, which is a shame because the place is so dirty. Most of the sides are tasty as is fried chicken, but I really like fried fish & chicken livers the best. But this place is a dump. Sometimes I just close my eyes and go when I crave the... More

It has been a while since I had the Hartz buffet and its just as good as I remembered. Liver and onions, mashed potatoes, two types of gravy, fried chicken, fried fish, and lots more. There are fries and soft serve ice cream too but you have to ask the cashier for this because they don't set it out on... More

We love Hartz Buffets, but not this one. It is sad because this one is so close to our house, but we will drive further to eat at a cleaner one. The one I refer to is at FM 518 and I45 in League City.

Before I ever really ate KFC...I ate Hartz. I remembered as a child, Hartz being sooo much better....but over the past decade, I don't feel that way anymore. Their rolls are amazing and if that were a good enough reason to go, I would. I just do not feel this place compares chicken-wise to their direct competition. I think it's... More

This review is based on 100% of our business going through the drive-thru and never going in for the buffet. We eat here about once every six weeks after church on Sunday. We drive-thru and take it home. Typically, we order the 16 piece chicken strip with sides. The "Very Good" rating is based upon comparison to other fast-food chicken... More
