I visited Chuyo's and feel in love. They offer great tasting Peruvian dishes at amazing prices. The Lomo was awesome and the Papa Rellano was amazing. They also served Salchipapa which was as close to the real thing as I can remember eating in a restaurant in La Plaza de Armas in Lima Peru. A must try....

The restaurant was okay. I only went once. My wife went a few times. It was a small quaint place where it appeared the whole family worked there. It was hot as it appeared they liked to save money by not turning on the A/C like when you go to a cheap Asian restaurant. The place is now closed.

Loved this place nice and quiet, the food was excellent.Highly recommend the sampler platter. Wife really loved the chicken plate and the beef empanadas were good, hot and crispy.

This place does it right. The place is always spotless. The empanadas are wonderful. My favorite is the traditional. They are really filling, but you really want to save room for the apple empanada. The person who makes the pastry for it does an amazing job. I highly recommend it.

I had lunch there today and tried the tomato-basil soup and a chicken empanada ...really good portions and very tasty ... I worked in Central and South America and ate a lot of empanadas made with corn meal, so the white, fluffy Peruvian empanadas came as a pleasant surprise ... not as heavy as the Colombian versions ... the chicha... Always looking to try something new so decided to have lunch here on a Sunday afternoon. Hubby got a sampler platter and I dove into a ceviche plate. Neither one of us finished it. We saved room for an apple empanada. Glad we did since the crust was perfect! Loved the flavors. I can only imagine what the owners could... More

It is so neat to find a different type culture restaurant in the area. it is in a strip center and not that big but the food is outstanding. The owners are hands on and so friendly. The empanada was the best we have ever had. The wife had a mixed ceviche and it was good but even better the... More

Great to see a League City restaurant with a unique menu. We had two entrees, and empanada, and dessert. All were excellent, but the empanada stole the show. One of the best I have had anywhere and a good value. The flan was excellent also. The entrees (ceviche and adobo) were very good, but a bit over salted. The staff... More

We have driven past Chuyo's for months and months, and finally decided to stop in. The owners were super welcoming and immediately recommended that -- as it was our first time -- we try the sampler. At $15 per person for two empanadas, two appetizers, and a sample of three entrees, it sounded like a good deal. Rather than pick... More
