While I am certainly not an expert on BBQ, this place had the best BBQ ribs I have ever eaten. Tender and flavorful. The portion was large - about 5 large ribs. The plate order included 2 sides. I had potato salad and coleslaw. My fellow eaters had brisket and pulled pork which they said were equally delicious. We were... More

If you're ever on IH-10 coming through Junction, you HAVE to stop here! It is the best BBQ place around. We have a ranch close by and always make a point to get some tasty BBQ every time. The staff is always so friendly, with southern hospitality & charm.

The food was great, but a little pricey for what you get compared to other BBQ places. The staff wasn't the friendliest or most outgoing, but they weren't rude. The pulled pork was great, as was the brisket. The second time we came they were out of everything except sausage and brisket, and we had driven there for ribs and... More

Heard about Lum's and had passed through Junction on the way to El Paso numerous times without straying off the main path. Lum's is about a half mile south of the Interstate. We had the Brisket, and Sausage with beans and potato salad, and a piece of coconut cream pie for dessert. VERY GOOD!!! When it comes time to pay,... More

No one was rude or unpleasant, but no one who worked there was cheerful or welcoming. The food was fine, but not the "best" as advertised. The smoked turkey got a thumbs up!

Nice surprise in this small town. The creamed corn was really good. Cole slaw a little dry. Chopped brisket sandwich was delicious. Ribs were tender. I guess you could buy a six pack if you wanted a cold beer since this doubles as a small store. Would have been an added plus on this hot day. Much better than the... More

We were looking forward to some real Texas BBQ; but, when we got there at 7:30, they had run out of BBQ except for chopped brisket. So, we ate brisket even though we wanted ribs or links. Oh well, we were hungry. The brisket was tasty and the sides were OK. We were disappointed that we didn't get what we... More

The barbeque at Lum's is very good. You order and pick up your meal at the counter and then eat at one of the six or so tables, or take your food home. The service was friendly and efficient, the food was excellent and the prices were low. We tried the ribs and the brisket - very good and the... More

My dad loved the ribs. I agree they were {very} good but not a 5 so I rate them a 4. I'd actually give them a 4.5 if I could. This is the first BBQ place I have been to that didn't have baked beans. I still ate it all and even had some desert. The only real complaint that... More

Located in the heart of the hill country, Lum's serves up vintage Texas smoked BBQ along with sinister sides and carefully prepared deserts. Our approach to barbecue is simple: lots of time and lots of wood. Our meat is dry rubbed with a select few spices and then slow cooked over mesquite wood. Lum's was co-founded in 1976 by father and son, Louis and Richard Lumbley. We strive to provide a comfortable and friendly dining experience executed with exquisite small town hospitality.
