This was our first time going to Rioja, and I had this craving for Paella, so I asked my wife if she won't mind going to this restaurant and give it a try. We came to appreciate this Spanish dish when we first went to...More

Sorry to hear you two don't plan to return! It doesn't sound like we showed you our best on this first visit, so I'd like to apologize for that. Everything from the water to the paella should have been great (not just good), and I'm...More

Am new to Tapas, but lunch was enjoyable and tasty. Was surprised that there was no crust on the paella, but maybe that just isn't possible with the lunch portion. Lunch took a long time, so not a good choice if you are in a...More

We ate there yesterday - April 15th and the staff was excellent. Greatly attentive and gave great recommendations on menu selections. The wine and food was just incredibly delish, hot, and beautifully presented. The atmosphere is great for family talks. Just wonderful.

The restaurant has a very nice interior with soft music playing across two dining areas (left and right). The dipping oil was very tasty and spicy but the bread was a small torpedo roll which was not crispy at all. I started with an appetizer,...More

Though it's great to hear that you enjoyed the Paella tapas, I'm disappointed to hear you weren't impressed with the Tenderloin or sangria. I can assure you that it is the right cut of meat, but I'll make sure to share your feedback with the...More

Pleasant setting. Good choice of tapas - surprisingly several with lamb. Also entrees if you want something more. With two friends we ordered several tapas each and shared. My favorite was the thick white asparagus wrapped in serrano ham. AS several others have pointed out,...More

I was here with some coworkers early in the year and then again with my husband in July. I have to say most of the tapas were somewhere between average - good. The tortilla espanola was quite good, which was very pleasing. However, I really...More

It's truly disheartening to read about your most recent experience as it's the last impression we wish to leave. When it comes to your paella, I don't often hear it's not flavorful and you can bet your bottom dollar I am determined to make this...More

We enjoyed most of our choices. The crispy eggplant tapas were delightful, but maybe a little over-sauced. The Spanish olives may have come from a jar. The soups, especially the Fabada Asturiana, were hearty and flavorful. It contains 'innards', so my husband steered away from...More

Tasty tapas and superior service? Sounds like we're doing something right. (Plus, I also can't avoid a good alliteration.) Thank you for sharing your experience here on TripAdvisor and I'm delighted to hear you really enjoyed your meal with us. If there's anything we can...More

3 years ago while visiting Houston, my husband and I had a mediocre but enjoyable meal at Rioja. After departing Houston for 3 years, we once again relocated here and decided to give Rioja another try since most of the current reviews weren't too bad,...More

Right away, I want to sincerely apologize that you found a hair in your paella. That is unacceptable and certainly out of character for us. After all, we always have our guests health top-of-mind and keep sanitation top-notch. I understand that we have disappointed you...More
