From the moment you walk in from the side street entrance, you know you’re not in any upscale place where the food is piled Sky high to try to impress you. The slope ceilinged main dining room with glass panels displaying the relatively depressed neighborhood...More

Small space for parking, we had to walk about a block, but it was worth the walk. After the meal, the owner showed us how the place started and how it came to be. Will be back!

My wife and I stopped in for lunch and had great enchiladas and tacos al carbon, but the food is pretty expensive! Love the old ambience- old traditional Mexican restaurant!!

The restaurant ambiance was a little off putting, kind of a dark patio with Christmas lights, but don’t let that fool you, it is very comfortable and it clearly appeals to the neighborhood professionals who were there in two very large groups. The service was...More

My uncle loves this place and tells stories about how it has been around forever. I ate here and the food is okay. I can tell you there are so many options for Mexican in Houston that it is hard to return here. No complaints...More

Good here...usually on Sundays...many other place closed on Sundays. They have their own take on food and each place I have tried was very good. Their Margaritas are very good. Limit of two per person though...Cozy inside with nice windows.

We try to eat hear every time we are in Houston. They have great old fashioned chili, cheese and onion enchiladas. Margaritas are exceptional. The small guacamole is like a large anywhere else. An unusual but great dish on the menu is fried chicken. Nice...More

Located between downtown Houston and the Medical Center, the one and only Spanish Village Restaurant has been at 4720 Almeda for over 50 years. As discovered by Houston Metropolitan, Texas Monthly, Ultra and Houston City Magazines, this is where you will find the best margaritas in town. They may be the only really good restaurant margaritas in Houston.
