Stopped in here for a few after dinner drinks and desert. Service was great and the food was fantastic! Have to say they had the beast Tres Leche cake I think I have ever had. To many place make it way to "soggy" theirs was...More

If you like sharing, this tapas restaurant is wonderful. The menu is inventive and diverse. The prices are reasonable. And I've never had anything that I didn't love. Add to that the happy hour drink prices and I'm in my happy place!

I missed the Tapas I’d get in Barcelona. This is the first spot in the US that even comes close. Really great variety and selection. There were 6 in our party. We ordered a 10 and 6 plate mixer and had plenty to eat. 15...More

Had an early Saturday evening dinner here on a stop over in Houston. Given the time we arrived, it wasn't very busy but there were lots of large tables set up for big groups later in the evening (the waiter said it was going to...More

I will not go back here. The place looks scruffy, the food is overpriced and bland. The service is slow and inaccurate. We spend around $50 per person and were still hungry afterwards. Location is good so it has potential.

I'm still at the restaurant and writing this review. To summarize, worst restaurant service in the Houston area. The manager here definitely needs to find a new job or the owner needs to hire double the staff. Keep in mind with everything below, the manager...More

Batanga bills itself as a tapa/small plate establishment but in actuality it is a small plate eatery. In many tapas places they bring out the items in multiples of how many are at the table. An example is the bacon wrapped dates, we had a...More

Thank you 39guyj for the great comments. We actually will be doing some new menu changes in Aug/Sept and I will definitely take into consideration the font and style of the menu. Thanks again and we hope to see you soon!

Enjoyed the tapas and the paella was amazing and plentiful! Sat outside and enjoyed two pitchers of delicious white sangria! Reasonably priced also.

Slow service, but not rude, just average. Food was tapas style. Prices right but average overall. Definitely a good place for a quick bite or a couple brews with friends. Would return.

Description
Tapas (small plates) restaurant featuring dishes from various regions of Spain, South America and the Caribbean, including Peru, Colombia, Brazil, Chile, Argentina, Mexico, Cuba, and more. We have live Latin music Wednesday - Sunday, including Salsa, Merengue, Samba and other Brazilian styles, and Flamenco during Sunday brunch. The music is also piped outside to our 3,600 square foot bricked patio--the largest in downtown Houston--which features thick stalk bamboo and lush greenery. The historic clock tower sits right outside our patio fence. It's a cool vibe.
