My wife and I enjoy weekend lunch at Abe's. We usually get the "half and half" which is a half a sandwich and a cup of soup. Cornbread is served as well. I like the ham and cheese poboy with a cup of chicken and sausage gumbo. She'll usually get a catfish poboy with seafood gumbo. It's hard to beat.... More

The staff was very accommodating to our group of eight. Food was delicious. The portions are more than generous. Everyone had take home boxes. The only draw back is that there is no wait staff for table.service until 5 pm. We had to stand in line to order our meals.

Whenever we are in town we eat at Abe's. The food is excellent. We like the Cajun Trio and the Salad Trio. Reasonable prices for the food and the beer. Great atmosphere with the big tree and the huge wall mural. Not far off the freeway, if you are in the area you should try it.

They were very busy tonight. I called ahead and elbowed my way in and low and behold my order was ready and everything was correct. My crawfish etouffee was wonderful. I am saving the boudin balls for tomorrow (it's Friday during lent) In spite of the crowd the staff was jovial and efficient.

The atmosphere is amazing! It feels like you are in the middle of Mardi Gras minus the nudity. There is a great tree dressed in beads. The corn bread is amazing. The fish and gulf shrimp are lightly fried. They are very generous with their condiments! Fried pickles were divine! I can't recommend this place high enough!

Our local cajun restaurant is very good. Lots of salad and sandwich choices in addition to cajun favorites and fried seafood. When in season, crawfish boils can also be had. They have an informal lunch service where you order first then sit down. At dinner, they have waiters and you order from your table. For dinner, come early as they... More

This is the only Cajun/south Louisiana fare available in Clear Lake TX (ClearLakeCity Blvd and Hwy3) . It is great for 'quick fix' fare. If you are just not sure what to order try the appetizer Cajun Sampler. Creamy Shrimp or Crawfish Étouffée over rice is most awesome on cold rainy days....such a comfort food. For short fare, one boudain... More
