Stopped in on a sleepy afternoon, café not busy, but the town had just shut down their water supply. Luckily, someone had some ice water already set aside. My friend had the chicken-fried steak sandwich, which was ok. The onion rings and fried zucchini were...More

We were a little late for lunch but tried out this cafe recommended on route 66. It was great, friendly waitress, joking locals, and good food . Worth thestop if you're near Groom

A typical small town cafe. Good food. Fair prices. Friendly staff. Not a bad place to stop and stretch your legs if you have been traveling awhile

We stopped by The Grill because we had pulled off to see the cross on Interstate 40. What a nice place! It is small, and frequented by the locals. There are grain elevators down the street, and it really made you feel like you were...More

We stopped here for lunch while passing through the area. My friend had the hamburger steak and I had the hamburger stuffed with mushrooms and cheese. Both were good. Our waitress was very friendly and very efficient. I'd stop again if in the area.

Description
This little diner did not come up on the GPS, the one that did here, along the old route 66 and just off I-40, was a gem. We had a breakfast there and enjoyed much better food than we would have had at the chains. Highly recommend.
