We were staying at the hotel across the street, quick and easy to walk too. When we arrived someone greeted us immediately The staff was friendly and very attentive. The initial chips and salsa were fresh and delicious. Huge menu and tons of choices to choose from. The prices very reasonable. Great food. I think it should be mentioned again,... More

Chips and salsa bowls never became empty. Chips had good flavor and were crisp. Salsa was mild but there was a bottle of hot sauce on the table so you could heat it to your taste. Wife ordered chicken combo fajita salad. Said it was very good, not the best she had ever had but very good. I had the... More

Moved to Denver in January of this year- no offense but poor quality Tex- Mex unless you count Taco Bueno! Landed in Dallas for a business trip and rental car went on auto-pilot to nearest El Fenix! Food was fresh, hot and incredible as usual. Been eating at El Fenix over 59 years and it never lets me down! I... More

Ok that title may seem dramatic but I absolutely love El Fenix. There's just something about everything they serve...their margaritas (on the rocks with salt...you needn't ask)...delicious beef enchiladas. Everything! Definitely worth a try wherever you see one in DFW area.

We enjoyed this restaurant for a second time as members of a large party (17 people) and remain impressed by the quality of the food and the competence of the servers. All orders came out correct, in a reasonable time, and everyone was well satisfied (and stuffed by the end of the meal). A delightful return experience, and we'd surely... More

Last 2 times (about 3 weeks apart) I had to ask for a refill on my tea as least 2 times before I got any. IT took almost 15 minutes to get refill. My chimi came out so hot, I could not eat it for a couple of minutes. My wife's combo platter was fine - except the middle was... More

El Fenix is ALWAYS packed on Wednesdays since their long time Cheese Enchiladas Special is on. I've never been to any location on a Wednesday when there wasn't a bit of a wait. But service is fast and they know how to turn tables! (It's even fun to stand in line and watch, it's so well orchestrated, at the original... More

I was visiting the Ft. Worth/Dallas area for business and my Nephew suggested we get some Tex/Mexican food and I am always up for that. Our waitress was friendly and efficient, but a little careless. We were a party of four and one of the orders was incorrect. It was my brothers order and he just let it go. We... More
