I cannot believe what a great eggs and bacon breakfast I got for $4.25. The bacon was so delicious I wanted more. I am going to make it a point to no cook on Saturdays but to go here for breakfast every week. Wifi was also good. These ladies have been doing a good job for many many years now.... More

I was expecting Nutshell to be a great tasting breakfast experience, it looks like a great mom pop country breakfast place but nope it was very nasty and the breakfast looked like they have 6 year cook in the kitchen. They need lots of improvements including the grumpy grandmother on the cash register. I will not return. Oh and what's... More

We read the reviews and this place was even recommended by a local. We were the only ones in the place when we got there. No one was at the counter. We had to call out for someone to come help us. The woman who came to take our order was very rude. No smile. We didn't know what we... More

The Nutshell Eatery and Bakery is not a fancy place. Just a good Texas county diner with tasty bakery selections. Seating includes wooden booths and a few tables with folding metal chairs. The historic building was built as a saloon in the late 1800's and local legend has it that the bartender, Mr. St. John, was actually John Wilkes Booth...... More

Wife and I went looking for breakfast on the Square. She got the breakfast burrito, I got runny eggs and coffee that was probably fresh during the 1st Reagan administration. It's a cool little place, right on the corner, and their baked goods? Groovy. But breakfast? Nope nope nope. Feels like they don't have to try too hard because they're... More

We were greeted with a friendly smile. Our questions were answered quickly with a smile. The breakfast was very good, and served quickly! We enjoyed this visit so much we returned three more times during this weekend. We were met with the most friendly smile every time. The food was very good, and their Tea Cakes were yum yum! Learned... More

We needed to find a place for lunch and this place hit the spot. The hubby and I had excellent sandwiches. Homemade pies and cookies looked delicious also. We went back for breakfast a couple days later and that was also delicious.

I really enjoy the relaxed atmosphere of this restaurant. It is roomy and offers breakfast, lunch, soups, salads, ice cream, coffee, cookies, pies, and lunch specials. A lot of locals eat here regularly. You order at the counter, pay, and they will call your number to come to a window to pick up your food. Very good, but don't come here if you want to be waited on hand and foot... More

For breakfast we had eggs, bacon, pancakes and biscuits & gravy. We even got a couple pastries to go. Everything was very good and the prices are very reasonable. Granbury seems to be a hotspot for bogus history, and this eatery is another great example. Almost as audacious as the claim that Jesse James lived to be 103 in Granbury,... More

This restaurant had a lot of people in it when we were there. We were looking for a place to eat breakfast where you sat down to order, but it was the kind where you go up and order your food, then you go and pick it up. You get your own coffee, etc. That's fine if that's what you... More
