We have been here awhile back but were not impressed..we thought we would try again. This time, the Chips and salsas were free!! The roasted salsa was our favorite. We shared an appetizer, the friend jalapeno and artichoke basket. We rarely eat anything fired but my husband loved the fried jalapenos..me, the artichokes. We also shared the Mixed Fajita's plate!... More

The restaurant is along the river. Esthetically pleasing and atmosphere is nice The food is mediocre. I have tried it several times with the same results.

First of all it was raining and the parking lot which is not paved was a lake (it is a problem) Food was ok but not memorable I will try again on a future visit to Georgetown

El Monumento is the fancier version of Monument Cafe and since I'm a big fan of the Cafe I was excited to eat here. Unfortunately the food and service did not live up to my expectations. The view and ambiance were worth a visit. I went on a Saturday night in February and waited over an hour to be seated.... More

Thought we'd "give it a try" and were delighted with everything! House margaritas were top notch -- best we've had in a long time. Our dinners were excellent and were just the right size portions. The chicken asada was particularly good -- succulent grilled chicken that melted in your mouth atop grilled onions and peppers! Can't wait to return!

The setting is lovely. In the back, it overlooks water. The building is very attractive. But the food is only average (and priced as though it was great), and the service is poor: slow and indifferent. For example, one of the folks in our party ordered a cocktail when she gave her food choices. The cocktail didn't arrive... the waitress... More

I love the Corazon Salad! The chips w/ salsa, queso and guacamole are all winners. Their Margaritas are yummy, but more like a snowcone than the typical frozen drink. The back patio is the best!

We were looking for a nice setting for dinner and this place fit the bill. They have an outdoor seating area that looks very nice but it was too cold to be open. The beef in the fajitas was very flavorfully seasoned and our server was very friendly.

Changes have come about and for the better. We were greeted by the staff who let us know about the changes to the menu and service. Now you go up and order from the posted menu and then lunch is brought to you. Very easy and very pleasant. The food was very good, differently prepared, and encouraged us to return.

I've had lunch here a few times now and the food was good, reasonably priced and the outdoor deck is beautiful.
