This is right next to the bicycle rental place and the Quality Inn where we stayed, and just across the street from the beach. I got a delicious "blizzard" and my husband loved his vanilla shake. Very pleased. They do have outside seating. Nice customer...service.More

I had the vanilla and orange custard twist Sweet but not too sweet and great creamy texture. Service was awful. This is a little store that is a take and go kinda place. First a family of 4 was waited on before me eventhough u...was ahead of them. Then the young ladies behind the counter acted as though it was a major imposition to wait on me. I was overly polite. Was told there are no lids to fit any of their containers except one. I tried to ask he question several different ways and was rebuffed and made to order an item I did not prefer in order to get a lid. Could not figure out was was going on. Then as I was leaving the young ladies rushed to the window to see and comment on the young men kn the seawall. That is what was wrong I was interrupting their boy watching!More

Frozen custard has become my new go to treat and Rita's was so smooth and yummy!! I loved that I was able to get two flavors twisted together!

This was my first time trying Rita's - everyone said how great it was. The adults and grandchildren were disappointed in the Italian Ice & ice cream...limited ice flavors when we were there. One grandchild loved the ice cream but the other with ice cream,...threw the entire cone away (I agreed after tasting it too. The prices were a bit much compared to normal beach prices. We were charged more for the kids ice cream in a cup than for the normal cone price. The 2 workers were fine but it seemed we messed up their time sitting on their phones when we arrived. There are NO seats inside or out so you must stand outside in 100 degree heat to heat it. We ended up sitting on the sidewalk ledge next door to Rita's. This will not be a repeat visit.More

We have been to Rita’s on the Seawall a few times, it’s so refreshing! I had a chocolate concrete with Heath bar, it was amazing! My 18 yr old daughter had the Peach layered Gelati, cream on top and the bottom! My friends had the...Mango gelati, and a chocolate and vanilla sundae. Everyone loved it! They are only serving walk up / pick up orders. Well worth it!More

Went in for a desert after leaving Tortuga's. Excellent choice! Great service and best ice cream I've had in Galveston. Moderately priced for Galveston and it was delicious.

We love Rita's! We had them for the first time about 2 summers ago and we've been hooked ever since. The service is good and the flavors of Italian Ice that is available always changes so we always get to try something new when we...come. The custard is tasty and best of all, if you bring your cup (empty or full!) to the 61st street fishing pier across the street you can get on the observation deck for free!More

This place has the best dessert. Their Italian ice is amazing in the form of a gelati. We have not found a flavor we don’t like. Staff is always very friendly. Look forward to this each night of our stay every time.

After a long walk along the ocean front we were quite hot and tired! We stopped here for something refreshing and boy did we find it. The spouse had the custard and it was so nice and creamy especially with the chocolate and vanilla together....We also got the mango, and strawberry watermelon Italian ice and it was so flavorful! I would definitely recommend stopping and trying it out especially on a hot day.More

I don't know, honestly, but I assume 16. Most places on the island have a fairly lenient age policy.
