Salsa's is our choice for Mexican food when in Galveston.. While not being authentic Mexican food, their complimentary salsa is simply delicious. (We bought some to take back home ) We don't eat the avocado salsa. We really enjoy the shrimp cocktail. SPICY!

We always come here for dinner and argaritas and sangria on our first night on the island. Fun place, good food and this time a Marachi band!

Previous reviews indicated this place was decent, but this wasn't our experience. Waited an excessive amount of time for our food, salsa was marginal and chips were cold and soggy with grease. NS.More

This was our first choice for lunch, year after year, when we were in Galveston - until we went vegetarian. But it is still a good restaurant and I would definitely recommend it, especially if you enjoy a baked potato stuffed with all the goodies....More

Salsa's location right on the Seawall is nice, especially if you want something other than fried seafood. The atmosphere is classic Tex-Mex. The margarita I had was very good, and chips and salsas were excellent. However the food itself was mediocre, actually rather bland. Also,...More

This restaurant has very good mexican food. We have eaten there several times while visiting Galveston. The only complaint I have is the waiting area for tables is very small and hot/humid. This restaurant does get very busy during peak times and I would suggest...More

I'm thrilled you love our food, but I'm disappointed to hear you've felt slightly cramped while waiting for your table. Going earlier to avoid the crowds is a great suggestion -- then, you have plenty of space to enjoy your favorite Mexican dishes. Looking forward...More

I ate there and I did not find it to be that good for Mexican food. Even the grilled shrimp was skimpy.

Opened in January 1998 by Jorge and Antonio Oyervides and a friend, Frank Diaz, Salsas Mexican & Seafood Restaurant is their first restaurant, though the three have been in the restaurant business for more than 24 years. Salsas is located at 4604 Seawall Boulevard - and features plenty of parking, a breathtaking Gulf view from our enormous outdoor patio, and beautiful sunshine. Our fine Mexican restaurant is bright, clean and colorful. Each table features two tantalizingly-different salsas, along with crispy, light tortilla chips. The menu offers traditional Mexican dishes like chicken or beef fajitas, enchiladas and burritos, plus some not-so-traditional platters such as seafood with a south-of-the-border flair. We invite you to savor your favorite dish and enjoy our frothy, refreshing margaritas. Happy Hour is Monday thru Friday from 3pm to 7pm. Salsas offers a daily Lunch Special from 11am to 3pm Monday thru Friday. Pickup orders are welcomed; simply call ahead. We look forward to serving your entire family!Salsa's Mexican Restaurant offers a breathtaking Gulf view from our enormous outdoor patio, and beautiful sunshine.
