The staff is very friendly and helpful. The food is delicious! If you like German influence food, you will love Rumpy's. They have all the German food basics and reasonable prices, too.

It might look like a regular interstate gas station store from the outside, but the bakery inside is a life changer. Breads, pies, strudel, kolaches, donuts, cronuts, fried pies and more. All homemade, all excellent. Try the cronut with extra icing. How can you say no to extra icing!

If you are headed south on 35E, this is an easy stop to get off and back on. Get gas, potty break, buy a wonderful Czech snack and be happy for the next leg of your drive. They also have Fischer's meat and cheese from nearby Muenster for sale along with the requisite convenience store items. Bathrooms are very clean... More

Get there early for best selection and freshest of items! Excellent sausages and fruit pastries. Buy individually from the bakery case or select bagged items from the shelves. Always a great bargain!

Stopped on our way home from a weekend getaway In Gainesville and Winstar for a raspberry streudel. Many other favors were available as well. There were pies and kolaches too! We will enjoy our streudel soon!

Maybe the best bakery I've been to in forever. Cookies are to die for. Pies like homemade. Pizza is fabulous.

Need fuel? Rumpys is one of the Valero stationsin town. Also at Rumpys they have a grill that serves up a great burger, pulled pork sandwiches, and pizza just to mention a few. They also have a German bakery with excellent choices. Also, Texas-OU t-shirts and a full convenience store. I could go on, but this should be enough information... More

We actually stopped here after gorging on fried pies in Davis, OK. You only live once, right? We had a Cronut, first. Funny story about that, travelled to NY January and had to stop for a Cronut. Hated it. Not what I thought it would be. BUT- Rumpys made it like it should be and it was spectacular! Ate another... More

Sure you can buy items to eat but it's not a restaurant. It is basically a convenience store that sells gasoline and diesel along with their pastry.

I am truly sorry you thought Rumpy's was a restaurant. We are indeed a convenience store with a full bakery inside of store. We make all our products fresh daily and all products are made right here at Rumpy's. However, we also cook fresh daily baked chicken, BBQ sandwiches, sausage on a stick, pizza, cold sandwiches, and kolaches. We do... More

Rumpy's is a store that sells various German bakery items and meats. Because they have tables/chairs for eating their wares, I called it a restaurant. It could be an "attraction" but I think that's a stretch because they mainly serve food, beverages, and gasoline...with a few local gifts. We stop there every trip to Texas because of their great goodies!
