We are often on the search for the ultimate hamburger. Alamo Springs Café was a treasure once we found it. The atmosphere is ultimate casual, the staff are super friendly and fun. The burgers are divine as are the onion rings. Service was fast and there was a constant influx of customers. Obviously the locals know where to go for... More

Enjoyed both the onion rings and burger and would eat there again if not for the staff. Was not impressed with the staff in the least. While our waitress was courteous and did a good job several of the staff were cutting up and talking/making fun of customers....that alone will keep me from going out of my way to eat... More

We saw this restaurant featured on a t.v. program about wonderful places to visit in Texas and made a note that we wanted to try this place if we ever got to Fredericksburg. Well last weekend we did and we decided to have dinner there on a Saturday evening. The drive there was just stunningly bucolic and you'll find yourself... More

You must swing by for lunch if you visit Comfort or Fredericksburg, TX as its a great restaurant that is old fashioned with a great view on top of the hill country. Located near the old railroad tunnel nearby with bat activity at night. We ended having dinner here which was a risk driving at night due to all the... More

We went up to watch the bats emerge... a bust. But heard great live music from the park. We followed it up the road and found Alamo Springs Cafe. You walk in and get your drinks on the "honor system" then pick a seat inside or outside. We heard their burgers were third best in TX so we got them.... More

Voted on of the best hamburgers in Texas, this place is a must see. It takes some navigation to find it, but it seems that is not a problem for the number of people that were there the day we visited. The burgers are thick and juicy and will satisfy any appetite. Be sure to order your burger on their... More

Upon arrival we were told to check in at the hostess station and we would receive a pager to alert us when our table was ready. You can order a beer at the bar but you don't pay for it until you pay for your meal so we headed that way to make the wait more enjoyable. After waiting for... More

We were advised to eat here. We were not disappointed. It's definitely a no frills place but worth the drive. We ate on the deck and enjoyed great music while eating. The steaks and the burgers were delicious. I would definitely go back

Worth the drive and the wait. Servers aren't warm and fuzzy at all but the food is awesome! Live music and great atmosphere.
