Stopped in on Friday afternoon for late lunch. Excellent bacon cheeseburger with real homemade onion rings and handcut french fries. Let's not forget cold beer. Will definitely go back when in the area.

I've been to Alamo Springs a few times and each time the food is great. Their burgers are the best and you have to try the jalapeño cheddar bun. I'm not a big fan of onion rings but theirs are really good. Staff is friendly as well and there's a great atmosphere.

I happened upon this place at the recommendation of a local in Fredericksburg. What a good find!! The burger was outstanding, especially on the whole wheat bun. It was crowded so I chose a table outside. A nice day made that perfect. I had to wait for the waitress for a bit and wait for the meal for a bit... More

Fun,eclectic atmosphere;great burgers and chili fries. On the day after Thanksgiving, there was live music in the afternoon. It was very crowded, the wait was not long. Go for the fun atmosphere and enjoy great casual food. Definitely a keeper.

I was in Fredericksburg for the weekend and stumbled upon this country-like cafe about 13 miles South of Fredericksburg. Friendly and food is delicious. I went on Friday night(they have live entertainment). The beer and soft drinks are serve yourself and on the honor system. I ordered the grilled ham sandwich on panini bread. It was lip smacking good. They... More

Everywhere I travel, I look to find the best hamburger in the area. In Fredericksburg and the Texas Hill Country that place is Alamo Springs Cafe. It is literally in the middle of nowhere but worth the drive. It is just a great old fashioned hamburger. The atmosphere is great too!

Love this hole in the wall Cafe!! We all had their burgers. I had their signature burger shown below. The Onion Rings were probably the best I have ever had. Highly recommend. Come during March - October to see the bats at Tunnel State Park

If you can find this place, you will be rewarded with a great burger! Also, the onion rings are super and the homemade potato chips are the very best i have ever had! We were told that on week-ends they also grill steaks!

It is not the easiest place to find, but when you do, a lot of other people have Already beat you there. It reminds me of the ice house concept, with a little rural dance hall thrown in. The burgers are huge and good. The onion rings are exceptional. The honor system of get your own beer is a delight,... More
