Railhead is almost always busy. It has a decent-sized indoor seating area with a bar and a patio for warmer-weather seating, but I've always got my order to go. Pulled pork is available on select days and can run out early, but the meats to try are sliced brisket and the ribs, especially the ribs. The counter staff is efficient,... More

The brisket has always been consistent with the flavor and tenderness. The ribs are some of the best in town. If you like French fries, this is the place. Good barbecue and cold beer is as good as it gets.

The ribs and brisket were good. Not a lot of smoke flavor. Meat was done to the right doneness and was plenty tender. Sides were average at best which is why I rated it a 3.

We were at the Log Cabin museum and asked if there was a good place to eat nearby. They were correct. The brisket was the best we had in our 5 days in Texas. The pork ribs just fell of the bone. Sides were excellent. I really like the beans. Nice chili flavor but not too hot. We were there... More

Excellent barbecue in a casual Texas surrounding. We have not found barbecue brisket any better than this.

My family always makes a visit to Railhead when back in Ft Worth. The food is so delicious and I just love the Texas feel of the joint. The parking has gotten better over the years. Try to avoid lunch as many who work in the area come for lunch and the place gets loud and crowded. Try an early... More

We were antiquing at the Montgomery Street Antique Mall and ask for a recommendation for bbq and was told "just across the street". I thought being 2p the lunch bunch would be gone....but not so. Not a problem to get a set, but was crowded with what looked like locals. Lots of friendly people and lots of frosty mugs of... More

This was my third visit here and boy is it good! This time too, two years after my first visit. Smokey, supersoft babequed pork falling off the bones. And a real spicey crust to it. Perfectly made steaks cut while watching and served in a bun, you choose the mustard, onion etc. Fries, great BBQ sauce, coleslaw and real, cold... More

This is right off interstate 30 . Place has the best BBQ chopped beef sandwich plate around. The ribs and the sausage plates are good. Very fun, friendly attmosphere. Happy hour we found out is 4-7 pm . We arrived at 330 pm with two teenagers to eat. It gets very lively from 5 pm on. 1.75 huge schooner beers.... More

Recommended by a local and it was excellent. Since it was Texas we went for the brisket and it was superb. Great bar atmosphere, lots of indoor and outdoor seating.

Thank Duganboy
