Traveling from Houston to Plano, TX, I stopped for a sandwich to go for dinner. I was pleased that this was a local place and not a chain. The beef brisket looked very good and I ordered a sliced beef sandwich with sauce on it. The size was very generous. I found the brisket was a little salty for my... More

Stopped in on the way to Houston. Exit 198 on the NE corner of I-45 and FM 27 in a Shell station. The sliced brisket BBQ sandwich is HUGE (see pics) and their French fries are fried in onion ring batter. They also have all varieties of meats and sides typical of BBQ places. This place also has homemade fudge,... More

Cole's used to be our favorite bar-b-q place to stop when traveling north to Dallas for the past 6 years. However this past Sunday was very disappointing. The brisket and ribs were dried out and did not have as good of smoke flavor. The pinto beans had sugar in them. The coleslaw, potato salad and bar-b-q sauce were way to... More

This is almost the worst BBQ ever! Or at least tied for last. I ordered 1# of sliced beef but got only 3 pieces. The rest was full of fat, and some of it was green tinted. The 3 pieces I got were probably because that's when I walked up to see what the girl was cutting. She moved briskets... More

Driving from Houston to OKC we needed a bbq break and there was Cole's! Tucked into a gas station is this bbq joint with some damn good brisket! Order at the counter and pay for it at the front, they will call your name when it's ready. There is a room with booths to eat in or you can take... More

We had stopped by there before smelled aroma, promised ourselves would be back. I couldn't be more impressed ate a lot of BBQ, but this was amazing flavorful, fork tender, nice smoke ring, smoke was not overpowering, potato salad is perfectly balanced, Coleslaw is perfect, forget white bread get the cornbread. Nice setup we sat in front area, wasn't crowded... More

This place was hard to find because it was in a convenience store and gas station. You ordered from a lady paid for it and they called your name. Your order was received in a brown paper sack. You could either take it with you or enjoy it in the nice seating area they had in another room. I had... More

Set up is very confusing, more signs would be appreciated. Bbq was average. Desserts seemed high priced but looked good. In a convenient store, so very little seating
