My wife and I always split the Cuban, which is excellent. I also like the free peanuts. Desserts have always been good and homemade. The house made potato chips are usually good, the fries (frozen/ordinary) not so much. Wish they did hand-cut fries! I rarely drink alcohol there, but the drinks look good. Costs fine. Pulled pork on the Cuban... More

We had dinner here on a Thursday evening. I'm not from Denton, so I'm sure it's a spot that regulars go to. Decor was fun - a Christmas tree hangs upside down from the ceiling (year round I suspect), and beer taps are the ornaments (my kind of tree). We ordered fried pickles which were perfectly cooked and tasted great,... More

Where can you get a Bloody Mary Bar (16.oz) for $3 on a weekend? Rooster's! What about $2 PBR? Rooster's! Free roasted peanuts to munch on with your drinks? Rooster's! This is my favorite downtown Denton hangout for just having drinks or grabbing a burger! The burgers are cooked on a griddle and are done on the inside but crisp... More

Went for lunch. Had the brisket sandwich. Thought it was skimpy on the meat and the sauce wasn't great. Service was a little slow, which was unusual because we were there for a late lunch and there weren't many diners. Probably won't go back.

Denton is a college town, and they have a lot of restaurants to cater to the students and faculty. Roosters had a little bit of everything--seafood, hamburgers, salads. There were a group of maybe a half dozen kids next to us, and they were having a good time, laughing and hollering at each other, but it wasn't out of control... More

All the BBQ staples at reasonable prices and portions. Friendly, clean and good drink specials. I loved the Bloody Mary bar where you can mix your own.

My son goes to UNT. He took us here and it was great! Good atmosphere. We had the brisket burger. It was one of the best burger around. Homemade chips were awesome! Also had the cheese fries. Loved them! Great burger and great prices! I will be back.

These guys make great "roadhouse" burgers. The regular side is house-made chips, but you can get good fries instead if you ask. If you like appetizers, both the brisket queso and pulled-pork nachos are greatness.

It was a busy Saturday night when my husband and I went to Roosters with another couple. Service was friendly. Burgers were good, but pretty small. They did have the best fried pickles I've ever had. Would like to go back on a quieter night and try something else. And of course get more pickles!

I only ate here once. The place is lively and aimed at a young crowd of college age and twenty somethings. The burger was great as was the friendly service.
