Ok let's lay it out for you. This is a bar not a restaurant. This bar attempts to serve bar food and it's not very good. If you drink enough beer and play some pool, then it will seem to be ok. As for the decor and atmosphere it is definitely an iconic tradition if you are a college student.... More

None of our food met our expectations! The burgers were junior size, Blt only had three small pieces of bacon an one tomato, buffalo chicken sandwich had one squirt of buffalo sauce and was burned sand so we're the chicken tenders !

Great place to drink a cold beer with friends and family and the food is great. Also like to play pool.

I think it is more about the hang out for the locals than the food. It was a little loud for my tastes, and food was okay but not fantastic. Definitely not the place for healthy eating :) If you want a burger it is handy.

So, I've always heard this is the place to visit when you're in Aggieland. Well...it was ok, but not really worth the hype. We went for lunch, with the family. So maybe the best thing is to go when it's more of a bar at night. The food was average at best. Queso chips were stale. Grilled cheese was mostly... More

Dixie Chicken has the great atmosphere of a campus hangout. We were at A&M for a high school graduation and ate dinner there. In addition to good food, it has pool, Ping-Pong, and dominos. You order at the counter and can eat outside on the porch or choose a table inside. There is also a bar inside. Our party had... More

This is my first time here. People said we have to eat at the Dixie Chicken. The food was OK but the atmosphere was fun. It is large inside.

My Aggie friends will want to shoot me for this but the Dixie Chicken is kinda meh. It's not bad but it certainly doesn't deserve the adoration it receives from the kids of aggieland. There are better places to eat.

I went with my daughter to check out A&M. We heard we must eat at the Dixie Chicken right across from the school. We went in and it was busy and everyone was having a good time either playing dominos, shooting pool or just eating. We ordered a couple of burgers/fries and a soda and found them to be sub... More
