Just enough 🔥 heat 🔥 to hit the spot. My sister had the "Mama Joyce chicken" juicy but not drippy with just enough flavor. It was Perfection. Highly recommended. I had the "Mama Joyce oxtail" and all I can say is "fell of the bone good" and the ox tail gravy mmm icing on the cake. Highly recommended. My brother... More

I had Sunday brunch at the Dallas location and it was great. Atmosphere was nice, food was flavorful, and the service was magnificent. We had the jerk shrimp and grits, Oxtails with cabbage and rice and beans, beef patties, and unlimited mimosas.

This place is the real deal. Authentic Jamaican quisine. Whole steamed snapper reminded me of the island. The patties were good. Looked a bit different but the taste was right on. Appletons and coke...taste like home to me. Oxtail and jerk. The rice and peas were perfect. The price is good. Well worth your time. The pictures look like windows... More

Went to the NEW location in Bishop District near downtown Dallas for a tasting and wow! The flavors and the quantity of the servings were impressive. The service was friendly and attentive. You will truly experience the island hospitality and flavor with their rum bar and specialty drinks.

This place is awesome! It's a little gem tucked away in a strip center. We drove from Plano and our friend came from Keller and it was worth the drive. First- let me talk about Siddie! She was very friendly, accommodating and had a smile on her face. Since it was our first time there, she helped us with suggestions... More

The food in this restaurant is absolutely delicious. Our group all selected different menu items and everyone was impressed. I had the Oxtails with Rice and Peas plus the Cabbage with carrots. Although I would have wanted to see more gravy, I was still impressed on the taste of the food. Well worth the visit. The cost was EXCELLENT as... More

I would easily give this restaurant 3.5 stars... I'd like to give 4 stars, but they're just not quite there yet. I've been twice in the past 15 days, and service was very friendly but slow both times. My table was dirty both times, so I'm really hoping the restaurant will do a better job there. The food is very... More

We tried this authentic Jamaican Restaurant for the first time. It is owned by a Jamaican Family and is located in a strip shopping center. They specialize in Jamaican liquor a and the traditional Jamaican Food. Portions were large. I had the Jerk Chicken which was very good but too mild for my taste. My wife had the Curried Goat... Island life is far superior to regular life partly because of the laid-back attitudes, and partly because of fried plantain. Leave your crazy schedule at home and sit back to enjoy a Jamaican-inspired meal at The Island Spot, a delightful lunch or dinner destination serving up exotically spiced tropical treats.

The enticing menu includes vacation staples such as Jerk Chicken (served with two sides), Signature BBQ Ribs, succulent Curry Shrimp, and so much more. Take a break from ho-hum winter blues and spice up your lunch or dinner at this oasis in the city.
