It was just normal, nothing that stood out, we all made a comment about the lack of taste in the food. I thought it was me but there were three of us... it was just bland. Sorry guys.

Loved the sweet corn and the crazy over cooked green beans. Totally unimpressed with the tasteless brisket. Shocked. I have had much tastier brisket in DC at Union market and Hill Country.

After a disappointing evening meal at a local Italian restaurant, we went back to J. Cody's where we had been a couple of times before on previous trips. The staff was extremely friendly, the prices were decent, the food was great, and everyone walked away very satisfied. We are thrilled with the great variety of healthy side items that you... More

I have been to J. Cody's several times now and I love it every time. My only gripe is I have still not had the ribs! They always run out so they must be good. I will definitely return to J. Cody's on my annual visit to Bryan.

you walk in and pick your entree, then you sit and they bring you your meal, good dry rub style BBQ and good size steaks, with a side buffet to pick from. Stormchaser says give it a try

This is the place to go for real Texas cuisine in Bryan. Their BBQ is very good, they make a good burger, but their rib-eye is where it's at! One of the best steaks I've ever eaten. The restaurant features a great, rustic Texas atmosphere. You order at the counter first, then take a seat and they bring you the... More

It has it's place, but it is not worth making a special trip to. The service is a bit strange for a BBQ place. I had the brisket and it was a bit dry and the sides were average. Over all, it's average.

Husband had the Ribeye Steak, I had the Grilled Chicken. We were looking for a good steakhouse and the Ribeye was very tough, actually difficult to cut. Both meats were very smoky so it overwhelmed the taste of the meat. We left the leftovers at the restaurant and probably won't go back. On the positive side they did have a... More

Many contend that Bar-B-Q in Texas is a Western evolution of trail food; it is a widely held religious experience. Over time, German, Czech and other Gringo tastes melded with flavorful Mexican influences and afforded Texians a diverse selection of Bar-B-Q variations. Texans do not take their culinary heritage lightly. Texas Bar-B-Q differs greatly from pulled pork back East. Competition... More
