We went in for brunch on Saturday, several empty tables, so not too full. Service was very slow. We got our water and menus right away but it took awhile for them to take our orders, then even longer to get our bloody Mary's, then even longer to get food. When the food did come it came piece meal not... More

Little Gretel is an intimate and delicious place for friends and family to gather. There is no bad choice on the menu, but my personal mainstay is the meatloaf and spätzle with mushroom gravy. Sit on the patio and enjoy the wildlife!

The atmosphere, food, and service are all huge wins here. Dinner is a little pricey for me so I go for lunch. Breakfast is good too. And dessert. Love the crystal ship, the jellyfish in the lady's room, the sweet owner lady, but the food keeps me coming back. The Czech and German cuisine is supurb. The Reuben, the spinach... More

My wife and I recently visited Little Gretel Restaurant in Boerne, Texas. The food was outstanding! We thought we were back in Europe! The service was fantastic and the atmosphere was old world. Denise Mazal, owner and executive chef prepares all the food from fresh local ingredients. She even makes the flour for the fresh bread herself. We were fortunate... More

I come from a Czech family so I have had the best Czech food. I've also traveled in the Czech Repuplic. Saying this, I try to keep an opened mind when eating at places that claim to be authentic. This was just ok, nothing to rave about and no place to go a second time.

Love the Sunday brunch menu. Usually busy on Sunday, but worth the wait. Both inside and outside seating. Love every dish we have tried, which have been at least a dozen. Great service and servers. Awesome food. Full bar.

My mom brought me here to enjoy some good German food. Everybody got something different and everything we tried was very good. I will be going back again

There is a duck crossing sign right outside this restaurant-we watched people lead a duck across River Rd to the river only for it to waddle back , One of the servers told of a rooster that called their restaurant home that now lives with her family.Good selection of german and czech specialties -my wife had an apple strudel and... Had a nice dinner here. Very friendly service. Good food that had good taste. Had a pork special with pancake and a cup of carrot bisque. All tasted great, was glad to get something other than Tex Mex or bbq. Set outside with view of river. I would go here again.

My wife planned a date day for us. When we arrived there were two couples ahead of us so it took approximately twenty minutes to seat us, no big deal. The server came over promptly and took our drink orders. She smelled very strongly of cigarette smoke. She returned with our tea and soda quickly and took our food order.... More

Sir, I did come to your table. I apologized about what had happened and assured you we would get the order out immediately. The waitress felt awful and we were both extremely apologetic. Your waitress even bought your table a quick appetizer and we rushed your order in 7 minutes. It was an honest mistake where she didn't put through... More
