The restaurant is in downtown Bastrop in a wonderful building, so first impressions were good. However, I was shocked to be told that there would be a charge for a basket of chips and salsa and another charge for refills. Have gone to Mexican restaurants all my life all over Texas and Colorado, I can honestly say I have never... More

Me and my family have been going to Anita"s for a long time and each visit the food and service are great. The food is mouthwatering and if you like great old fashion Mexican food this is the place for you to go. Just the smell when you walk into the resturant makes you hungry a place to try out.

I love this place. Very reasonable specials. Great breakfast meals. I also like the high ceilings in this building.

My friends and I enjoy Anita's at least once a week. For a HUGE, delicious breakfast, locals ask for "The Atkins" which is everything protein and low carbs. Homemade corn and flour tortillas make breakfast tacos great if you're not counting cards..

This is great food exactly as it should be. And, folks, it's gluten-free as they make all corn tortillas unlike many who add flour/wheat to the corn. All good! Great service and plenty of room for all in a large cool spacious dining area. So visit downtown Bastrop and give Anita's a try.

Anitas has the highest quality traditional Mexican food entrees like tacos, tamales and enchiladas. The quesidillias and chalupas are also excellent. Furthermore, you can't go wrong with the breakfast platters and the breakfast tacos are the best ever.
