I came with very high expectations, accompanying someone who loves this place. I feared that some dishes might be too hot & spicy for my palate so I asked if several of the dishes would have "a kick." The waitress said that the only things...More

We have eaten here several times since moving back to the area, as a couple and with a larger group. Papa is a great host and the food is delicious. Everything that we have had here has been delicious; not one bad tasting dish. I...More

OMG. Don't know where to start. If you want fancy don't go there. If you want NOLA atmosphere this is your place. Tiny so make reservations. It's BYOB. Papa is there and visits with you with interesting stories. Let's start with gumbo. Rich roue with...More

As "newcomers", Papa Jr. was so welcoming and made us feel like apart of the family. The food was amazing and we tried a little bit of everything! Definitely worth a second visit!

Great Louisiana dishes. If you want the real thing you have to try this place. Small restaurant with great service and entertainment.

We are fans of small and poorly lit restaurants. This one has both. The food is great and consistent. The top dish I would recommend is the crawfish and shrimp étouffée, but they have something for everybody. Average price for large dish is 20-25 dollars....More

They're on top of the taste from the region. If you're looking for a little Cajun dinner this is the place to go.

As a major fan of New Orleans my daughter's recommendation of a former laundromat holeinthewall a few miles from their country homestead WAY out in the woods didn't sound inviting. But she kept saying we just HAD to go. So we took a family gathering...More

We love Cajun food and music, and that's what we got. It's a really small area, so do not be shocked with that. The live entertainment was perfect for the atmosphere. We were told beforehand it's a BYOB, unless drinking soda/tea/water. We were with a...More

They serve water and sometime tea but if you want beer or wine you have to bring it with you. Bringing it is a good idea because the food really calls for those kid of drinks.
