I loved the atmosphere. Our server, Isaac, was excellent! Very polite and attentive, really nice guy. The food was excellent. My steak was just a tad more cooked than I would have liked but, non the less, delicious. I would highly recommend going here the...More

We had prearranged for our big group to eat at Jimmy Kelly's. The staff and manager not only provided a excellent meal but also made it a fabulous experience. Sometimes in a big group that has children the food is way too slow and they...More

Jimmy Kelly's is a legacy restaurant in Nashville with lots of history and numerous celebrity patrons. Prime beef steaks are the specialty but everything is worth the rather top drawer prices. My wife and I decided to make Jimmy Kelly's one of our annual special...More

This restraints exudes that old southern feel..with a menu that is simple and to the point you realize this restaurant focuses on doing things well. The atmosphere is inside what in would surmise to be an old multi story house. So seating can feel very...More

I have enjoyed Jimmy Kellys for the past 30 years. Always a great meal, great service. Probably your dads steak house. Atmosphere is an old home, dark (not much natural light), and decor is 40's era. But that makes a great atmosphere. Steaks are great....More

I eat there and had no problem but I did tell them ahead of time that I was gluten free. Honestly though I would choose a different steakhouse if it were me. I have found the steaks at Mortons or Kayne Prime or Stoney... More

I don't think so - this place can be pretty laid back - casual and dressy is OK. If you're coming with more than four though, I'd definitely make reservations

Sure they are. We started bringing our daughter when she was about 10. Now that she is 23 it's still her favorite restaurant.

Housed in a glorious Southern mansion in the heart of Music City, Jimmy Kelly’s continues to be the standard by which all American steakhouses are measured. Founded in 1934 while the country was in the throes of the Great Depression and just one year removed from the repeal of prohibition, Jimmy Kelly made a promise to himself and his diners. Simply put, he would serve a great steak, a generous portion of whiskey and insure the service was always attentive. Making good on that promise has been the cornerstone of the restaurant’s success and enabled it to survive and flourish. Now over 80 years later and operated by the third generation of Kellys, it has earned a reputation as one of the grand old restaurants not only in Nashville but the entire southeast. Come anytime and enjoy a great steak and a generous portion of whiskey!
