I've been wanting to try The Patterson House for some time. One chance conversation and a crazy day at work later, and I found myself seated at the bar with friends. Everything I read about an evening here did not even come close to how enjoyable it was. We sat at the bar, perused the menu, told the bar tenders... More

My wife and I stopped here Saturday night for cocktails and it was amazing. There is about a 30 minute wait to get in but boy is it worth it. The atmosphere is romantic and the bar tender puts on a show concocting your drink. I thought the $13 per drink was a good value for what we got. We... More

This is a great bar harking back to the Prohibition days. It may be a little hard to find (we used Google Maps as we were walking), but it is definitely a find!! Once you walk in, you are escorted behind a curtain to a fantastic bar with various bourbons that adorn the shelves. I had a speciality cocktail, the... More

When you walk up don't be fooled by the entrance. They will lead you behind a curtain and that's where the magic happens. The cocktails are very intricate. Some sound and taste great and some do not. I would go for just the experience. It's a quiet place to experiment with new flavors, not for the rowdy crowd. Be ready... More

Agreed with others who have said it's a bit pretentious without necessarily deserving that uppity-ness. The cocktails are good, but they're not really a world-class cocktail spot, and the "speakeasy" vibe didn't feel carried through into the bar area. The building itself was a little hard to find; we passed it because we didn't think it was inside the dark... More

Classic and historical bar experience in a unique setting. While the drink menu is quite interesting to read thru, the bartenders are exceptionally helpful to explain and guide you so that you will try something new and enjoy it

I had been wanting to try this place and we enjoyed it but won't go back. It is a beautiful place with a good vibe. I wanted a cocktail made from a specific bourbon that I wanted to try and asked our server, who was on the arrogant side, to just ask the bartender to make me whatever he thought... More

Dear Wesley: thank you for the Monte Carlo, which I'd never heard of before and is now my favorite bourbon drink. Also thank you for not being snobby and elitist, even though you are working in a beautiful, albeit super-trendy, room (seriously, I'm from New York: what in God's name is with these trendy southern bars being so snooty? Just... More

This has to be my favorite place to get a drink in Nashville. Each one of their cocktails looks and tastes like a work of art. The ambience is on point with the low lighting and old architecture with a whole lot of classic music from all over the place playing, there was a lot of 70s hits the night... More

I have only been to a few bars where the bartender asked what my favorite liquors and flavors were and then whipped me up something that was to die for. Patterson House is one of those places. Sometimes, you just don't want to make any more decisions. You are at the bar. Struggling, looking at the cocktail list when the... More
