I work in South Gippsland. Every time I am in Port Albert it's a no brainer where to have lunch. Great fish and chips. Only comment.... Enjoy folks 😀

Stopped in at Port Albert fish and chips on Sunday for a late lunch. The fish was ok although the batter was very ordinary. The potato cake was undercooked. The amount of salt on the food was ridiculous. We had to shake it off and use the lemon wedge to wash it off. Also, I don't know why this place... More

Small basic fish n chip shop, nothing more nothing less, clean functional with a queue out the door. Gummy and chips, all packed in a box, walked over to the wharfside , found a seat and sat overlooking the water. A good size, not at all oily, the fish batter was beautifully crisp and light, crunching as I bit into... More

Always good for a lunch looking at the water either eating in the car on a blowy day or at a table along the pavement if weather is great. I would prefer the food was cooked in a vegetable oil. I can taste the oil a bit too much and you have to keep an eye on whoever is salting.... More

The best fish and chips in Victoria if you want a simple lunch. Try the flathead fillets which I always do . The fish is so fresh. In summer you could have the fish and chips while watching the bay. Not to be missed if you are in the Gippsland region in Victoria.

Visited here while camping and had lovely fish and chips. The store was clean and the staff friendly. Definitely best place for fish and chips at Port Albert.

After a cold day hiking in the rain, the fish and chips were a delight. Lightly battered fish and huge amount of chips even though it was only a 'mini' size. The shop is definitely a 'take-away' to eat along the shore or in your car as we did because of the cold wind. Either way, highly recommend!

Enjoyed our lunch; fresh fish. Not oily and lightly battered. Worth a visit even on a winter's day. Sitting by the wharf on clean public park tables.
