terrible...very dissapointing. Got takeaway and ordered soup and sushi. Sushi was excellent but soup was absolutely disgusting. Prawn tempura tasted like water and chicken soup tasted like watered down beef packet soup. Prawn tempura came with 1 prawn and noodles in soup were floury and inedible. Dont recommend this to anyone looking for a tasty soup because this is the... More

Great sushi restaurant that I've gone to for many years. Food is always fresh and the serving staff are attentive. Not a great decour, but you can't have everything. Most important is the fish!

What has happened to Asakusa!?! Somebody turn back time to the late 1990's when this restaurant was the place to eat Japanese in the east. Relying on locals/loyal regulars as a way to thrive is not good business practice any more. Ordered some take away here recently including sea weed salad, miso soups, teriyaki chicken, California rolls and all of... More

Absolutely horrible. Went in with a friend who has never had Japanese before so I was excited to show her how amazing it was. I ordered a tempura prawn noodle soup with vegetables and she ordered teriyaki beef noodle soup. The meal was exceptionally small and absolutely flavourless. I have been to many Japanese restaurants before and had this meal... More

These guys do really good Sushi and Sashimi. We use Asakusa on a regular basis, mainly for take-away and have never been disappointed. The decor is simple, but typically simple in that Japanese way! Service is friendly and efficient. BYO is excellent as the restaurant can concentrate of good food. There is a pub across the road for you beer... More

The restaurant is very basic in it's layout. The tables and chairs look as if they came out of a garage sale. We had chicken teriyaki which was particularly foul - soft chicken shin with strips of what looked like processed chicken meat. Not to be recommended.

I eat here often and get take away too. The food is always fresh and the service is pleasant and efficient. It is also BYO and this helps keep the cost down. I have never had anything here I have not loved and I have worked my way through the menu over time.
