Even though the place was nearly deserted the service was terrible - the waitress managed to mess up all the orders and the mains arrived wrong. By the time mine was replaced my wife's was stone cold - no offer to take them both back and replace when corrected When the bill arrived we had still been charged for the... More

Spent money is not worth it here. Me and my partner ordered chateaubriand for two. The food was brought not even warm. It got absolutely cold in 5 minutes. Service wasn't that bad. However, if I waited for my change back, I would be sitting there till the next Easter. I don't think it's automatic to keep the change. I... More

Menu for platter says Lobster, means half a lobster, crab claws means back of crab claws which has very little crab meat and an effort to get it out, fish was barramundi in batter and was really gloopy. For the price it was very poor. Service was fantastic which was a bonus.

We wondered around the beach and after looking at many menus we found Whitewater. They offered a lunch special a "Wagyu" burger, fries and wine or fish and chips and wine for $20 Australian. It all was good. The burger bun a bit thick otherwise good. The service is the top and the view great.

The table layouts were odd, given that the main attraction is the sea and beach. You kind of sit along a bench next to the wall, so we had to look to the right or left the whole time to see the sea. Nicely presented menu with plenty to choose from. We were the only customers, so service was prompt... More

I have been here dozens of times over the past 4 years. The menu is good with variety. Try the Barrimundi fish & chips or there are light and fulsome meals. Wine list is good as are prices. Staff, many of our newest from South America are friendly, on the ball and responsive. Its fantastic place to watch and enjoy... More

We used a First Table opportunity and mostly enjoyed the food but at full price it would have very expensive at full price. The service was slow and the ribs were dry. We were surprised initially that it was so quiet ... but now we know why.

Staying in Manly

Neighbourhood Profile
Manly
A 40-minute ferry ride from Circular Quay will take you to the famous northern beach of Manly. The beaches here are perfect for learning to surf or spending the day sun-tanning. The walk from Spit Bridge to Manly is a great way to experience Sydney Harbour Bay and the Australian bush land. Along the foreshore, there are plenty of watering holes and wine bars with excellent cuisine. There are plenty of kid-friendly restaurants as well, especially along the family-oriented areas like Shelly Beach. An excellent way to experience Manly is to rent a bike and explore the dedicated bike paths and off road trails. The North Head National Park is another must-see. Located on the southern tip of Manly, North Head National Park offers great bushwalks and panoramic views of the city.
