Hi I love a good curry and it has to have quality, flavour and with spice. By spice I mean English Hot not Australian Hot ( mild). The Goat is the dish for those with any adventure when it comes to experimentation. On the whole I have never had a bad meal here, Service is good and the chef will... More

I went here with my brother who had already eaten in this restaurant and suggested it to go and try. We had an awesome cheese naan ,soft and creamy, and butter chicken was absolutely tender. The sauce of this dish- specialty of the house- is a masterpiece. Before leaving Australia I visited again with the same result. Absolutely recommended, food... More

This restaurant is opposite the New Brighton Hotel. Don't be put off by a few stairs to walk up, It's well worth the visit. The food is very authentic, great tasting Indian food, everyone in the group commented on how good their particular dish was, and service was excellent. The cost of the meal was very reasonably priced too! They... More

We enjoyed the food. Be careful about spice as the food can be quite hot. This was a favorite of ours.

I usually refrain from writing too negative comments, but I tried food from this restaurant during my trip to Australia and was deeply disappointed becausing I was looking for some delicious Indian food and what I found is not even close to what authentic Indian food should be like --- for example, I ordered cheese garlic naan --- cheese used... We ordered the dhal and sag paneer. Then we were told they didn't have the paneer so ordered the beef vindaloo. We love hot food but the vindaloo was as hot as the dhal and both dishes tasted the same. Service was average also. When we arrived the restaurant was almost empty, makes sense why. Just really average food.

Used to be great in 2004. Now very average; inattentive service, average food, will not return. Much better Indian food available nearby.

Claims to be 'authentic' but far from it. Dhal makani made in a tomato gravy. Paneer butter masala more like Chinese sweet and sour. Might be ok if you don't know any better. But if you're Indian or from Indian decent you will be really disappointed. Service is quite poor too. Asked for salt never turned up. Toilets are worse... More
