Three stars but should be 4+ if not for the rude discourteous and demeaning 20-something male door nazi. I discovered this place 10 years ago it was quaint and rustic. Having had a facelift, today the location is still its big thing. Attended recently for an 80th birthday party - 32 guests and apart from the dick at the door,... More

In the past I have ordered from the bar menu and shared a few jugs with friends while watching the rugby , good selection of beers and a pleasant view. Two weekends back along with my wife, daughter and partner we had lunch in the restaurant area, which bills separately from the bar which has changed there offering of tap... More

Friends surprised me with this lunch - ferry over to Double Bay takes you straight to the sailing club. None of us our members so you can't book a table, we arrived got Midday to guarantee a table. Lovely views, friendly staff who do care for your needs Lunch was nice, not amazing but tasty and great value. Good wine... More

For a reasonably priced meal in a great location this is hard to beat. It is situated at the shore end of the Double Bay ferry wharf with great views of the harbour. Visitors are welcome and the Club offers a choice of Bar or restaurant meals. We were there for lunch on an extremely hot day and the air... More

I think the position and ambience in the club is great. Unfortunately the food is old fashion and bland. The food is still back in the 80’S Huge unattractive meals. Half the quantity and better produce and styles are really needed. Also, far too many options, even the daily specials are permanently on the menu. I have heard it has... More

A work colleague told me about the restaurant as I was entertaining friends from way out west. I tried to book in for Sunday lunch however only members can do that and was advised to just turn up and there would be a good chance we would get a table for four - we did and there was, with a... More

Despite the dirty tables, this is a fun place. Choose the food carefully. When it is good, it is very good such as the chicken salad but the prawn curry had few prawns.

Dined here recently for lunch with some friends. This place NEVER disappoints! The food is very reasonable priced, ample servings and great quality! The staff always attentive and professional. They have another menu for bar food too. So if you just want a snack - they can accommodate! Highly recommended! Suggest you book!
