We've been to this restaurant a few times now and it never fails to deliver. Leave the orders to the staff, they really know what they are doing. Sushi and sashimi are superb, everything that came after was too. This is a plus to go to again and again. Just great!

A Crows Nest veteran on a fast changing Willoughby Road strip. Deserves it's good reputation and it's a good lunch stop. Sashimi was excellent and generous; deep fried chicken was crunchy and tasty and tofu with spinach and sesame sauce unctuous. Unfussy service; rather drab surrounds could use a bit of a facelift to match it's quality and price point

Discovered as second time to this restaurant as the signed league shirt frames as wall deco so easy for recall. Deluxe Sashimi highly recommended. Kingfish cappacio was with right sauce. Tofu salad and miso soup plain and light. Prawn Tempura above average. Full body sweet Saka plus Asahi Big Mud. Good match. All waitresses were good except the most pretty... More

Great menu with a huge selection! Thoroughly enjoyed the food. We had a selection of Shashimi, soft shell crab rolls, tempura prawns and vegetables, Udon Noodles, prawn dumplings... The service was excellent with friendly and helpful staff.

Not a lot was good except maybe the price but you get what you pay for. Gyoza were greasy, spiced edamame were burnt and the main salmon dish was also burnt. Almost have to try hard to ruin edamame. Service wasn't great either. Better places to go in Crows Nest

There were only 6 types on the plate... More

Established way back in 1987, Sapporo Japanese Restaurant, in Crow's Nest, certainly has the history. Walking in, one feels a sort of slipping back into another age. A rugby age to be more precise. The walls were completely covered in rugby jerseys. Along with the carpeted floors and TV screen, I wondered if I were in a pub or a... More

The food is always yum and they have a decent selection. Probably not the best Japanese food I have ever had but no where near the worst. I happily go back here with friends when looking for somewhere easy to go in Crows Nest

Great staff, friendly with great service! The sushi tastes as though it was just caught. Agadashi tofu is excellent, mixed sashimi plate so fresh and beautifully presented. Popcorn prawns are yummy. Gyoza both meat and prawn are so moorish! The various sake's are a must both hot and cold, really complimenting the dishes. Then there is the Rugby and Sumo... More

The owner has an RU fetish and the signed wall hangings say everything about his/her interest in the food. The staff are lonely and so their best. But the cook has it all out of a bottle or a packet. Plus $8 corkage? SAVE YOUR MONEY!
