Damion our driver knew I enjoyed seafood so he recommended that our boat tour guide, Mr Teddy, make a pit stop at Sister Lou's for delicious stuffed crab. Yum!

Our captain suggested a stop at Sister Lou's on our trek down the Black River. What an amazing experience to find a place like this in the middle of nowhere. We all tried some of the sweet crab and had a refreshing drink before carrying on back up the river. This was a highlight for sure!

We had a boat trip with Captain Ted out of Treasure Beach. Up the Black River from the sea through majestic mangroves, nesting white egrets and a few crocodiles. Up past the spot where the bigger tourist boats turn round is Sister Lou's River Stop. Speciality is crab which is best accompanied by a Jamaican Red Stripe or Ginger Beer.... More

Good (off the beaten track) fun... food is good too. If you love the great out doors and a sense of adventure pop by then go further up the river via the small boats to vinyard way. If you are a fan of glamping, this is not for you.

After an amazing boat ride up Black River, you arrive at Sister Lou's sweet little spot of fresh crab goodness. The crab was so tasty and the Red Stripe cold. I loved this place!

We decided to go there by car: not a good idea!! Very very difficult to find (not well known by local people) and the road is terrible. The place doesn't look at all like a restaurant, crab is fine but heated in a microwave... :-( Only recommanded if you are desperate to eat crab!

Drove to Sister Lou's since the boat weren't running up the Black River. What a road! You could lose a bus in the potholes! Well worth it since we were the only customers. We ate crab like we were eating our last meal (and that's what I want for mine!!!). Sister Lou and her brother John made us feel like... More

Sister Lou's River Stop is a small brick bldg on the Black River. Captain Ted picked us up at our rental, Great Escape (VRBO Listing #11863) and took us on a great boat ride to the town of Black River and on to Sister Lou's. An order (2) crabs is $5/American and the beers were nice and cold. == Warning... More
