Whenever we feel lazy and want a good meal with a glass of wine in a splendid old pub with lots of charm ....... this is the place!!! Good food, cooked on the premises served by friendly staff is what anyone can expect here. Generally, you would need to book to make sure you get a table but it is... More

Food finishes at 3pm on Sunday at all times. Maybe you will try us when we are open for food. More

We visited Magor for a long weekend in March. Great little pub run by Nick and his team. We were made to feel very welcome by the locals. Excellent for guest beers and a fab line up of Gins! Food was good too - We will be back 😊

Have visited this area several times as my kids live here. The Wheatsheaf is a must go every time I come. People are friendly, the pub grub is delicious, located in the village square and the price is right.

Had a fabulous Mother's Day meal at The Wheatsheaf. Great food and great service from the fabulous friendly staff. Nearly ruined by an obnoxious man at a nearby table having a vememous rant at one of the waitresses over a booking mix up that was not her fault ....and had been quickly corrected by the landlord. Totally unnecessary.

I'm reluctant to give too a bad review as I've always had good customer service here in the past. I booked mother's day lunch for 1.30pm. Initially I booked for 2pm but the girl on the phone said it would have to be 1.30pm as they had a few people booked in for 2pm. You can imagine my surprise when... More

While on holidays in South Wales last summer, the wife and myself walked from the Hampton by Hilton to the Wheatsheaf Inn for a few pints of ale. We accomplished much more than that within this quaint public house. Feasting upon a delectable steak and Guinness pie with savory side arms, peas and chips, I contemplated the reasons why restaurants... More

Lunch on a quiet day. Food and service was great. Our waitress superb. Great sense of humour and helped make a birthday lunch a great occasion.

We enjoyed a great meal here on a Saturday evening. Pleasant staff, prompt service and tasty food which was priced well too! Would visit again if in the area.
