Slightly quirky layout but staff friendly. Food was good and not too expensive. Has a selection of real ales which were well kept. We ate here for both nights during our stay in Cemaes Bay rather than eating at the hotel resturant

Have just spent the weekend in Cemeaes Bay with friends, what a lovely place in the world. Spent a very rowdy evening in the Stag Inn for a friend's birthday. Pre-booked our table & pre-warned Keith about our fancy dress. Food was nice pub food & reasonably priced. Everyone joined in & helped made the evening what is was. Keith... More

After a long walk around the local coast line went for a walk and found this lovely pub in the village. There were a number of bars catering for different groups, although anyone could enjoy any of them. We went into the snug where there was a roaring open fire which was welcome after our walk. There was food o... More

We were looking for a nice pub for a pint and a sandwich after a long walk along the coastal path. We were warmly welcomed, especially my big sandy and wet dog who was spoilt rotten by staff and locals! The beer was excellent (Boondoggle) and a great, freshly made sandwich with cheesey chips was exactly what we wanted. Friendly... More

After shocking service at the cafe up the road, we brought our toddler here for lunch. They were just serving the roast, no other menu. It was good enough - plenty of it and tasty. Our son's meal also came free.

A welcoming pub with a good selection of ales. Nice varied menu, we chose haddock and chips. The fish was beautifully cooked but the chips were the frozen type. The place seemed well patronised by locals. We were told that a singer was due at around 8.15 but as he hadn't turned up by 9pm we left

We has a couple of meals in this pub during our stay and spent some time tasting the waters on offer. The landlord Keith is very good with the Guitar and will give you a song at the drop of a hat. The floors were being painted in the bar side of the pub and outside is good if you... More

Visited this charming village pub in North Wales mid week. I was quite surprised how quiet it was considering the number of walkers I had seen that day and would have thought this potential of a little goldmine would have taken advantage of walkers and tourists on such a glorious day. I had a late lunch of cheese and sandwich... More

Hi Candace As you may have seen from my previous replies on this site I do bite back when I receive a review that has little truth or value. Firstly, the white board behind the bar is for staff use only and should not be visible to customers. However, that morning I wrote the note as a shock reminder to... More
