The food was very good, don't get a huge amount for your money but it's nice as a one-off treat. Service is very good.

There is a very good variety of food on the menu. And there is also a choice of two taster menus. The food is very well presented and well cooked. The service from the staff is really good and they do everything they can to...More

We ate Friday dinner and Sunday lunch during our stay and the food & service were of the highest possible standard. My partner's starter of duck egg with crispy duck soldiers made me very jealous although my own choice of scallop was still outstanding. We...More

We ate here for three evenings during a stay at the Portmeirion Hotel (reviewed separately). Although the menu didn't change during that period and is limited to seven starters and seven main courses, we didn't have a problem identifying dishes worth sampling; any longer a...More

We set off on a walk in the drizzle through the woodland at Portmerion to take in the gorgeous rhododendrons, azaleas and spectacular fir trees with the aim of heading for a spot of lunch as reward at the end. We were directed through to...More

Yes. Please ask at the toll. You can also make more of the day by hiring a buggy for a VIP 45 min tour of the village for £20. It fits up to 5 people so you could split cost with others.
We have booked the DBB option. Is it possible to upgrade the dinner to one of the tasting menus when we arrive if we prefer this option? Thanks Jo

Yes - you can choose the options you want when you order dinner. The surcharges for upgrades are listed on the menu. However, you do need to check your bill when you check out - we found we were charged twice for some dinner... More

Hi no you don't have to be a hotel guest to book and eat in the restaurant. It's a short walk downhill from the entrance and car park to the hotel/restaurant. Great Sunday roasts!
