Carvery to a good standard, pudding was delicious an most of the staff are very pleasant and helpful except for one who I think I heard her name was Karen. She seemed to walk around bossing everyone around for standing there and not doing anything (when to be fair they was all moving and very busy) but she was just... More

Stopped for lunch after a stroll along the Mawddach estuary trail. Our two dogs in tow were welcome but it was warm enough to sit outside. We had the ham hocks and they were marvellous plenty of sauce and well cooked veg. Well kept beer and friendly staff.

A real pup atmosphere with traditional decorations. This gastro pub uses local produce to deliver fine dinning. Views accross the Mawddach estuary and the famous wooden toll bridge.

This hotel has an enviable position at the side of the Mawddach Trail and Estuary. As such it enjoys a high volume of visitors. They don't need to try hard to keep customers happy and they certainly don't appear to. Service is generally slow ( I have visited serveral times) . Not sure if this consistent poor level of service... More

We have stopped here over 10 times over the years but haven't stayed for last 3 years as our last visit was awful. The place is so run down now and staff are miserable. Food isn't great, we stopped on a walk for a sandwich and it was nothing special at all and very plain and was £6.50. We sat... More

Although the restaurant itself was full we were able to grab a table for four in the bar area which was absolutely fine. Although it took a while for the food to arrive after ordering it didn't matter (after all it was New Years Eve and the bar was handy). No problem with the service and we had no complaints... More

I always give this Restaurant/Bar the benefit of the doubt every time I cycle past and I always regret it! I've never been made to feel so unwelcome, it's almost as though the staff don't want to work behind a bar! They were the rudest, most obnoxious, sarcastic staff I have ever met. Having sat downstairs we were greeted by... More

After a long walk (followed by a long wait at the bar), I was so looking forward to a decent pint of cider and some hot chips. Unfortunately, I was disappointed on both fronts. A poor bar selection left me with a run of the mill larger (I'm not a Strongbow man), and at £3.95 for a small portion of... More
