Stopped in for lunch and had a great Welsh Rarebit. Absolutely scrummy! managed a piece of cake too which was lovely - raspberry and almond. Coffee was of good standard. We ate outside as it was good weather and they have a lovely courtyard with tables.

The staff were very friendly, helpful and welcoming. There is plenty of space in a number of rooms. We just stopped for coffee and cake and they were very good.

I've have always gone here for a sandwich and coffee and it's always been ok, but in the last few months I feel standards are slipping. The place is nicely set out, as long as you can get up a stairs, and another set of stairs if you need the loo! They have a standard menu which is ok and... More

Took my mum for a run to Monmouth and had a stroll around town. Stopped off here for lunch break. Very good lunch and service. Can easily recommend. It was very busy on the day which sort of confirms its rating.

A friend and I always visit here for our Ice cream milkshakes, she lives away so it is always on our list of things to do! It's always welcoming and friendly with the staff and the decor is cosy. Not often had food as its more a chat over a drink but when I have had food that's always been... More

Cafes can be good, bad and indifferent, but this is one of the best. We would probably not have come across it but for Trip Advisor, as it is upstairs above a hardware shop, but the slightly hidden location reveals a huge cafe divided into cosy separate areas including outside seating. It was mid-afternoon so we only had tea and... More

I totally agree with the previous reviewer, that it is very expensive for the portion sizes, if the quality was amazing it would have been a different story, The breakfasts we had were very average, and no imagination for the vegetarian option, just a few saute potato, 1 egg, beans,4 small mushrooms, and 1 portion of thick toast for £6.95,... We really do like this coffee shop and the staff are very friendly. We've only ever stopped for coffee and cake or a simple lunch. As we were in the area today, we thought we might have brunch. We arrived ten minutes too late for breakfast but decided on a breakfast bap. One had three small slices of bacon and... More

After enjoying the shop crammed with good Kitchenware, this upstairs cafe is a delight. With good view of high street, and prompt service, our light lunch was good and tasty. A lovely discovery with lots of choice on the menu!
