What a wonderful place. The host provided us with hot water bottles and blankets. As it is currently outside seating only. The home made pizza was great and service was friendly and welcoming. We will definitely be back to sample more food Thank you

Booked the Crown inn to celebrate a special birthday. Richard and Caroline assisted by family were amazing, the birthday cake went down well with loads of comments about the best chocolate cake ever, Pizzas we’re amazing, great selection, and the camping experience matched the pub...experience, perfect! Loved our weekend and can’t wait to go back. Thanks to all and good luck with the new venture.More

We stayed here for one night on our way home from Brecon and absolutely loved it. Beautiful, well kept grounds, welcoming hosts, great pub and amazing campsite right next to the river, perfect for me to relax while my husband did some fishing. Really loved...it, despite not usually being one to visit a site more than once we have booked again for next weekend.More

On the way back from the coast today I thought I would check out the Crown Inn near Corwen. Based on the reviews I was expecting something special but I was a bit disappointed. The site was fine , small , next to a river..., very pretty. The pub however was not great. Dog mess all over the beer garden and the approach from the site to it was very unpleasant. Without being too graphic it was fairly obvious it had been there for a while. There was also evidence of poorly cleaned up dog mess in other places in the garden , which wouldn't be a massive issue if you didn't have to walk through it to use the toilets or collect fresh water. I wasn't overly impressed with the pub either tbh. It's a shame as I was wanting a semi local bolt hole nearby , but regrettably this won't be it.****note**** since posting this same review online the owner has had me banned from various FB groups which is both sad and pathetic in equal measure. Enjoy your stay folks!More

Please note I did nothing to ban you from groups on Facebook!! I very professionally apologised for your inconvenience and explained that serious family illness and commitments had temporarily interfered with the usual high standards we uphold for the Crown. However, it would have been...More

We visited by chance, a group of 20 on a charity cycle ride in need of a break. The landlord and landlady were wonderfully welcoming and helpful. Thank you so much. Lovely little pub.

Fantastic little campsite next to the river Maggie & Co very welcoming and friendly, ideal for our first visit to North Wales. The food in the pub was great, fresh cooked and served with a smile and plenty of chat, no need to rush here...! very well priced, as was the beer . A smashing little old pub, full of character, and real log fires, some would call it 'tired' , but it is as it should be in my opinion, does not need modernisation , ever. If you want breakfast, order the night before and it will be served nice and fresh at a time you choose in the morning, all the essentials of an excellent fry up. The campsite is very basic, but what more do you need in such a gorgeous location ? nothing ! Plenty of space to pitch up/park , no designated pitches , and you can have campfires and bbq's right next to your tent/campervan . If peace and quiet is your thing, this is the place to go , would recommend to anybody, so if you get the chance, give it a go :-)More

I had the best two nights over August bank holiday weekend camping at the crown . The owners and staff were warm , welcoming and helpful and the location is amazing . There were no showers but I washed in the river and the food...in the pub was fantastic. The atmosphere there is brilliant and we watched the village soap box derby when we were there which was fun and we also had a lovely walk along the river Alwen with our dog . Dogs are welcome and we met plenty . It’s a great place for couples and families and the locals are great . I can’t wait to go again , I’d recommend it to everyone !More

Sorry we can't take motorhomes. They are too heavy for the site.
